She's a teenage girl growing up in a Muslim family with strong beliefs. Religion is ingrained in just about everything they do. Trying to reconcile that upbringing with her goals/dreams (& pending superhero responsibilities) is a big part of her character. Not acknowledging that on the show would be a disservice.
Agreed.

Agreed here too. I for one am happy they are showing this. It's a rare look into their culture as well.

Yea religion in comic books can sometimes elevate the story. Most of the marvel characters are religious. Daredevil, Spider-Man, night crawler and many others. I actually enjoy seeing how Muslims in New York handle mcu threats. It’s hilarious thst her mother things captain marvel’s out is “skimpy” lol. Maybe her old outfir

Speaking of which. Someone cosplayed as the old ms marvel in the convention lol

See what guyver1 started church-gate lol
Soon the Spanish Inquisition will be upon us because...

That was a tidbit that didn’t amount to anything ..The whole Mossk scene..ugh..
Mosque
I get the director saying this is my Arab culture…Who freakin cares! In a superhero tv show
I dunno, probably the people of that culture and religion that also happen to enjoy entertainment
God..this is what I hate about the society we live in now..religion should not be showcased in fictional entertainment :pfft:
I hate religion as much as anyone could but I didn't hear anyone crying when Matt Murdock was going to a Christian church. Being a Catholic is a huge part of his character and nobody complains about it.
It's a superhero show set in an alternate reality on our world so there are going to be things shown that exist in our world.

I enjoyed most of this episode save for the action bits. The action choreography and effects were really weak on this one. Probably the weakest of any Marvel movie/TV show.

That said, the story itself and dialogue were very engaging. I am genuinely enjoying this show.
