How about the convenience of Vader chasing a ship with the Death Star plans that happens to have his daughter on, who then sends the plans to the one planet with her twin brother on who happens to buy the robot with said plans off some Jawas who happened to drive by.
2/3 of that is **** retcons from ROTJ retroactively projected onto innocent ol' ANH and ESB, and 1/3 of that is the normal dream-like coincidence that defines movies.

The conveniences in OWK are within scene - ie we've just seen Vader pull down a ship.... why can't he pull down the other one? The Jedi cellphone with Bail's critical reveal is dropped in a huge hangar... but happens to be within a few feet of Reva... who's just survived a lightsaber impalement.

There's a difference. It's the reason no one ever really questioned the ANH stuff whereas this OWK stuff comes up immediately. The story of ANH is incredibly powerful - the story in OWK has little tension or power.

Weak storytelling and truly BAD directing is what has defined this show. Oh except, look guys... ANGRY VADER IS BACK WITH MORE POWERS THAN EVER! 😬

So they can make a photo realistic Luke but they cannot de age Anakin? Also Reva gave the order to open fire at the door. They cannot really get trough with the weapons. Later she goes there and open it after she sliced the door like butter. Why didn't you started with that? Everything is so amateurish it hurts. Man what a ******** this series is.

What’s weird is, when I was a kid, Vader had an iconic presence by simply standing there, ordering people around. He always seemed like a master tactician/negotiator in my eyes, more so than a physical presence. I never needed to see him go full ham with force powers or wield a lightsaber in every scene to be impressed by him. Some of the most stand out scenes are him in Empire just conspiring. He didn’t even even have to raise a finger for Lando to **** his pants.

Less is more I think.

Actually its the Rev-4

Theoretically if a lightsaber doesn’t hit a vital organ wouldn’t the victim be likely to survive longer vs. a more traditional wound? The blade would essentially cauterize the wound so one shouldn’t bleed out. That said, I’m curious why being shot with a blaster wouldn’t do that as well. So Reva survives and Tala dies. There’s truly no justice in Star Wars lol.

Yeah, all of these modern versions of Vader always seem to tend toward "whoooa, MEGA-FORCE powers!" and "watch out, he ANGGRRY!" when the mind, the suit, subtle movement and that voice does all you need.

It's like these modern filmmakers aren't confident so need to embrace unhinged Vader.

But it seems that works fine for many. Like ready-for-take-off propellor lightsabers.

Great episode, much better than previous one. Though the cgi feel kinda cheap for the vader using the force scene.
My sentiments exactly. :lecture
also, the flash back scene kinda look forced since padawan ani look older than sith ani in eps 3 lol. At least kenobi look bout the same age during that era.
Anakin was an old-looking padawan in those scenes.

Obi-Wan Convenience at it again.

The *one* person on Tatooine whom Reva asks for his name happens to be Owen.

The one person who finds and picks up Kenobi's communicator happens to be Reva.

The communicator has one message on it and it happens to be Bail Organa mentioning Tatooine and Owen by name. :rotfl You've gotta be kidding me!?

And all of this incredible long-odds happenstance is allowed to occur because Vader conveniently doesn't finish her off when he's standing next to a dude who just survived being stabbed in the gut by a lightsaber. :slap

And, of course, this also comes after Vader conveniently decides not to pull down the second ship like he did the decoy one because... reasons.

I totally agree about Bail's stupidity being an epc fail. 100%! And this guy is supposed to help lead a secret rebellion!? :lol

I also have no idea what Reva was trying to accomplish in playing the long game with Anakin/Vader by knowing his identity, nor what Vader was trying to accomplish by playing the long game with Reva while knowing her true intentions. Was Vader using Reva because he felt she was smarter and more capable of tracking Kenobi than he was? If so, then wow that's terrible.
What was Vader’s long game in ESB using Luke’s capture to get close to the Emperor….

:chase

What if Reva gets patched up by that doctor in tatooine? From BoBF. Fennec had no business surviving either but they miraculously patched her up.

Better than the last 2 episodes I suppose but a lot of the issues with this series continue.
Very cheap looking. Looks like a fanfilm most of the time.
Poor directing. Action is still bad.
Some dodgy acting here and there.
Reva is still awful.
What's happened to the Empires TIEs? The shuttle got away, but how did they get past the ISD and its TIE squadron?
Whispering through a blast door that apparently needs a giant blaster to get through. But then is instantly cut through with a lightsaber.
So a lightsaber can cut through that massive door but just sparks off of Stormie armour?
Bails stupid message giving the name and address of Owen.
Flashbacks were good. 40 year old Anakin looked odd though.
Although I'm generally in the less is more camp with Vader, it was entertaining seeing him dominate Reva. Catching the shuttle with the Force.
Ewan is wasted on this show. All these years since the PT and this is show what they use Ewan on.
I think I just find the overall story boring. A thin dull story that should have been a 2 hour movie, stretched to nothing over a 6 episode series.
Can you imagine if this was better written, with an interesting story and competently directed?

So a laser hitting the torso should be definite kill, but a laser passing clean out the other side of a torso is more reliant on hitting a vital organ...?

I dunno, maybe I'm old fashioned, but a laser sword sticking out from someone's back always should be fatal (Qui-Gon could have lived on with that slightly embarassing but nicely cauterized wound under his tunic! :lol )

But no, Reva's ready for season 2....!

But then we're discussing a show where stormtroopers are killed en-masse with everything from light karate chops (or something) to the slightest laser bolt touch anywhere from boot to glove. :dunno

IDK, people can survive being impaled with an actual sword so why not a laser sword? As long as the lightsaber doesn't have a 6" diameter blade I think it's plausible lol. But yes, in the SW universe attempting to apply logic is futile. :lol

Now that's not something you hear a whole lot about. But I'm sure it's possible - a lot of those run-through-with-a-sword people in "Gladiator" might have actually survived! :lol

But hey, I'm sure there are people who have survived being run over by a tank, a forehead double-tap, and an arrow through the eye. And those are defo things you'd assume were fatal if seen in a movie. 😬
