I think someone mentioned a while back on one of the preview videos that the clear plastic was already starting to yellow

I remember the plastic did have a yellow tinge to it on display, which would be embarrassing. Could’ve been lighting or the gold from the armor.

I don’t know, the 3 people that buy this can let us know in a few years how it’s holding up.

Agreed!

Surely more than three persons have bought it, eh, no? :ROFLMAO:

Maybe five?

Yeah I have a feeling that's going to happen a lot with the cheap clear plastic bits.
That's what I meant, I want to see the result of the first person who tears all that plastic crap off. I'd be shocked if someone hasn't done it already

I bought it because I like the original comic design and I get Pia's (who is the original concept artist for this figure) design though it's changed to plastic (from glass) because of the risks factor involved.

Maybe it may yellow, maybe it wouldn't. I think it's a good figure on display especially if you mix and match the various armor covers provided.

Even if the plastic yellows, I don't see why it's a huge issue. Also, are people keeping this on the dash of their car? I don't think it will yellow under normal conditions that quickly.

I was the biggest hater of the decision to add plastic to an otherwise AMAZING idea to make a classic comic book Iron Man. It absolutely blows my mind they didn’t have enough forward thinking and/or look at all the collector feedback about the plastic covering the figure.
It is extremely frustrating. I think alot of us will hold out hope they make a version without the plastic parts. And I really hope the teased Classic War Machine doesn’t have the plastic parts or doesn’t get canceled because of how badly this plastic Iron Man will sell.

More than anything I REALLY want a Classic Comic Book War Machine (no plastic!!)

I had a clear case for an iPod that reminds me of this figure. It didn't do a damn thing except to crack and oxidize over time.

I'm staring at this thing over and over, *really* trying to convince myself to like or at least be okay with that clear shell because of how much I want a classic Iron Man HT fig, and just can't do it. Maybe a weird hill to die on considering this is just an art variant, but this might be the most frustrated I've ever been with HT. Normally if a HT figure looks good, I'm fine with film costume inaccuracies or the price going way up, and I finally just can't wrap my head around this one. So annoyingly close to being something I'd jump on in a heartbeat and yet still so far. It doesn't even feel good to shrug and say "oh well, money saved for the next one" because you can literally *see* the desirable version of this thing right there behind the plastic.
