Guess you're the 1% because I see it literally in every picture and video that is pointing at that spot. Some more extreme than others.

The material around the neck wrinkles or puckers when it's bent or the shoulder bend pulls or pushes it, same as the elbows and knees and other joints. I haven't have a wrinkle issue with either of mine, just futzed the costume around the area of the stress and/or the armature beneath. I generally stick to museum posing though.

Pictures!
I love this figure!

Lol that sounds absurdly risky and dangerous...I think I'll pass on that method.
Play it safe, and try to return it for another one. These figures cost an arm and a leg, so they should arrive perfect. Hey Hot Toys, in all your pictures of the product, I didn't see any neck wrinkles. If I did, I wouldn't have bought it.

A really awesome Ultimate Spider-Man styled sculpt I saw from Vincentoyna. Might have to grab one.

I'm getting more of a MacFarlane vibe from the head but it looks great regardless. I still need to get this figure had to cancel him first time around.

I would get multiple McFarlane sm figs. He was a game changer for me around 1990. I still have a bunch of mcf Spider-Man comics.

Sadly, I might end up cancelling my preorder of this guy, the suit is too volatile. Does anyone have QC issues like this?

Warning: if you are squeamish about seeing destroyed figures, do not watch the full video below (at the start and near the end). He explains at the end why he had to do this. I added the link to skip the intro, but around 9:44 the damage is shown in full, so just make sure to watch the time bar.
Can turn on CC auto-translate to get the english subtitles.

If you had to choose only one Spider-Man figure for you collection - would this be it?
I'm planning for the future and was trying to decide between this and the new Tobey Maguire (obviously I'd have a better idea when it goes up for pre-order but I just thought I'd get people's opinions earlier on as well)

I thought this was the one I wanted, but the more I look at it the more that plastic/rubber suit look bothers me.

The color on this one really pops, it’s probably the brightest figure I have but not hard when everything else is so muted.

I’d say it’s my favorite Spider-Man collectible, at the moment. The colors and the silhouette are quintessential “Spider-Man” to me. I realize the suit material is a knock for a lot of people (and I don’t love it) but I don’t plan on putting it in crazy Larsen or McFarlane style poses, anyway.
