Picked this up today and it is amazing. I do have a couple of concerns though. I have heard that the cloak can stain the tunic. Is there a treatment to prevent this? Also, those boots look like they will fall apart after awhile. I have already started the 303 treatment. Anyone got any other suggestions or leads on replacement boots?

I am sure that these have been answered in here somewhere, I am just lazy. J/K, I am still going to go back through the tread for posing ideas.
hand wash the robe with detergent. The excess dye will come out. Let air dry.

As for the boots. As far as I know, there haven't been any runs for custom real leather boots or even sculpted two part boots yet. Well before HT made their figures, I believe there was a custom full figure set of both ROTS Anakin and Obi-wan that might've had real leather boots but again, those were made at least 2-3 years (of not more) before HT made theirs.

They should last with proper care like 303. Just make sure you don’t get on the fabric.

If something happens then you can touch up/repaint with leather paint like Angelus. But it will be tricky to match Obi-Wan’s boot color.

You can wash the cloak out with mild detergent or soap to get the excess dye out. That’s what many people here do.

I prevent staining from the cloak by keeping it in the box.
Thanks for the advice.

What's "303"?? Never heard of this before.

303 Aserospace Protectant is a water based surface protectant used on vinyl, pleather, plastic, and rubber. It has no solvents or other harmful chemicals so it will not be oily or greasy.

It helps to preserve those materials by lightly conditioning and acting as a surface protectant against UV rays as well as dust, oils, etc.

It also makes the surface more supple, helping to prevent drying out and cracking.

It’s inexpensive on Amazon and also available at detail supply shops.

The only caveat is that it’s not meant for fabric so you don’t want to get it on there. But it’s good for belts, boots, holsters, pleather suits, rubber suits, and so on.

Thanks for the advice.

No problem!

When they make a terrific Dooku all the folks saying they are done after Anakin and Kenobi will be saying well........ maybe I'll just;)

And then Maul

And then Qui Gon

And then Padme

And then Clones.....
Look at what we have now in comparison with 4 years ago....crazy.

Thanks for the detailed info @MyenShi :hi5: Definitely wished I knew this before my ANH Han Solo boots started to crack 😅 but thankfully Rise customs is planning on making replacement boots out of real leather for him.

You’re very welcome.

Those Han boots were especially bad. I’d say they’ve gotten a bit better with materials over time, but still good to look into protectants and conditioners for the future.

I used the clone armor piece the mew maul comes with, and bought another on ebay, threw them on this guy. 501 armored gloves to match. Looks neat and fits clean

A certain HK retailer is doing a giveaway for this figure that is apparantly "worth USD$900" :lol

Would hand washing the robe also apply for the Anakin as well? As far as detergent, what are we talking about, dish detergent ? Thanks! I finally picked up both Obi and Anakin and just want to be sure I don’t mess them up, lol.
