That sounds cool. I just hope it will be in the next few weeks/month and not next year...But it does sound awesome. I so wanna upgrade my old Gandalf...

I bought a Crown Gandalf but I also held onto my Gandalf 1.0 with the hopes to upgrade him so I am definitely in for buying the head (and whatever comes with it).

In the meantime, I might just cut this middle part out of the hat and remove the magnet. I actually think the magnet was a good idea- since if placed perfectly, it could hold on the hat at a good angle. But I think the factory might have misplaced it, because as is, it basically forces the hat to be held in an awkward position.

I've mentioned before- but I do love his hair/beard. I wish they all had rooted hair.

Well, look at that. I don’t even have to worry about if I want to pick up an improved hat; it’ll just be there when Bilbo shows up.

All Bilbo’s initially come from Asmus and the GTG hat is now part of the package so, yes, regardless of where you purchased, a hat will be included.

Great move by Asmus with the hat!

But I don't really want to get Bilbo...he's just too angry

This is some serious BS, I'd buy another head if price was good but regarding hat.

Why can't they charge shipping and let us have the hat given it was their error, I don't see why we should spend mo ey to fix their QC. Shipping I'd be OK with but their saying it's to expensive.

Thanks Asmus for doing this. As I have ordered Bilbo I am very happy and I think this is a good solution. However I do understand the concerns of some other collectors voiced here.

Why not just give the option for buyers to pay for shipping to get the hat?

So people who order Bilbo but don’t even own Gandalf himself will have the better hat still? Weird..

Bilbo will be my first Lord of the Rings character. Guess Asmus is giving me the extra push to buy Gandalf.
