I’ve watched up to episode 4 and will watch episode 5 tonight.

Season 4 has had more of a Scooby Doo feel than ever. But I’m okay with it, it still continues to be a helluva lot of fun for me.

Plots twists have definitely keep me engaged. I love the characters and am rooting for them. The show is still making me care about the story and what happens to the characters. That’s all that really matters at the end of the day for what I want from a TV series like this.

I love D&D (mainly via Baldur’s Gate but also a bit of online group tabletop here and there). I’m also interested in ufology, especially since recent revelations about AATIP. So this show roughly basing itself off of MK Ultra is actually another plus for me. Intersection of those two interests.

For me, Stranger Things is like very good fast food: sure it is junk food but it is cooked well, the salad is fresh, the buns aren't squished and the fries are perfectly crispy and not overly salty or greasy.

This season is very predictable sure, but the production value as always is great and there were some great emotional moments and acting throughout. Good fast food.

Better Call Saul is like a decent restaurant meal in comparison while Halo, The Book Of Boba Fett and likely Obi-Wan Kenobi (bit early to know for sure) are like that really bad Mcdonalds where the burgers are always cold and squished, the salad rotten, fries soggy and food poisioning follows.

I honestly didn’t see the twist they revealed at the very end of the last episode until 3/4 of the way through it. I feel like I usually pick up on this stuff fairly early, but my mind was kinda blown.

I think this is a very good analogy. I agree 100%!

How the hell is Hopper walking around without so much as a limp after breaking his feet? It's like the writers forgot they had him do that to himself after that episode was over.

Plot armour. A few niggles aside, this season has been amazing.

Love the nods to Nightmare on Elm Street, Hellraiser and others.

If I were Threezero I would be jumping on a deluxe Vecna figure ASAP.

Hopper shouldn't even HAVE feet. He ran around in the ice and snow for miles on bare, broken feet. The frostbite and gangrene should have killed him in days without medical attention.

Apparently he is Hopper in name only ;)

This confused me a lot too. At first I thought he was asking for his ankle to be broken so he could go to the hospital, and make his escape from there. But that made no sense because the prison camp guards and warden would just let him get gangrene and die. I think what it was was to reshape the leg irons enough to be able to slip them off, which did injure him but evidently not so badly that the bone was broken nor that any infection set in.

My wife and I are having a great time with this series. Like others have mentioned, I didn't see the plot twist at the end of episode 7! Along with all the customary beats that this show has established, it's especially surprises like that that keep us coming back for more.

I finished the first seven episodes yesterday, and they flew by in spite of being as long as separate films.

At first it was giving me the impression that the more science fiction feeling of earlier series had turned into a ghost story. Then with the gradual revelation I couldn't help but see the Hellraiser influences, both in the demon and the upside down dimension.

It was clever how they got round having to de-age Eleven all the time when showing her back story, by letting her relive it at her current age.

The characters and their interactions with one another are still good, and it got me thinking again that this is the heir to Buffy the Vampire Slayer in that regard. I never wanted that series to end either.

About three weeks to go until the last two episodes I think. :impatient:

Can’t believe Millie turned 18 months ago

talk about a glam up thought she was in her 20s
