I hope this doesn't kill the potential for original design/comic book versions of characters. I really want to see a classic Thor from someone other than Sideshow.

This figure is gonna turn into a yellow discolored clear plastic mess.

Only reason I would get this is if I commission an artist to repaint the clear armor bits to match the rest of the figure. Not to mention it looks like they just cancelled that War Machine that they teased for this line.

I sort of understand what they were going for with the clear plastic, but I still disagree. Unless the light hit it at an ideal angle to emulate that classic comic book art, the plastic is more distracting than anything. And as said before, there's serious concern the clear plastic discoloring over time.

A customizer is gonna pop those plastic pieces off, and if the figure looks fine without them, people will buy this. But I kinda doubt it's going to look fine.

Not gonna spend $400 dollars on a figure that will turn into a nasty yellow tint shortly after purchase. What the heck is Hot Toys thinking? One of those examples of someone taking a perfectly good thing and going overboard to try to be overly creative.

Dump the clear plastic armor pieces, and make the affected armor areas that much wider to compensate. Either that or scrap the whole project and take the loss.
