Same. Hot Toys version has to blow me away for me to even consider switching. It'll probably have 1 sculpt, cost almost $300 and release in 2024.
I'm good with SooSoo's version.

I'm good with SooSoo's version.
I'll wait for final production photos to decide. SooSoo has an awesome prototype but can they deliver on those headsculpts? They are so good they all almost look like photos of the actor.

Yes their productions sculpt have been matching their prototypes. This is their production version of Butcher from The Boys that SST did.

I think soosootoys is also toys era, if so then they are legit when it comes to promo pics and sculpts in-hand.

My comment on the top of the page still applies. Great sculpt on Hot Toys but this isn't a figure/character that I care to dump $300 on and also wait until 2024 for. Nothing about it blows me away since the tailoring on SS's version looks on par with HTs. SooSoos version will do just fine for $180 and it's releasing this May.
And hey, it's nothing crazy but at least SooSoos version comes with the dangerous alcoholic inducing cup.

I agree with you. They look very similar. The cape looks better and more weathered on the HT version, and paint apps on the crocodile. The SooSoo has the split cut boots and I personally think the grimacing sculpt on this one is better than the HT one.My comment on the top of the page still applies. If I were to get one, I'd go for SooSoo then just pick up the HT headsculpt/faces later.

Anything goes with the production version, of course. But if the protos hold I think the grinning soosoo one trounces the HT sculpt's botox forehead. Those HT boots look really annoying to deal with too

Soosoo's HS expressions seem slightly more... "cartoonish"... which is a plus for this character I think. 
I doubt the colors would match from company to company
Pretty sure the slight different shade of yellow from the sides of HT headsculpt to the neck/collar of the SooSoo will more than likely be negligible
