Interesting. Contrary to what others are saying according to man of hot collectibles the hair pieces are not exactly interchangable

So here’s the question that I’m sure a few people are thinking about, which is basically putting on the old Bespin outfit, but everything else is from the new figure and that’s exactly what I did. I know this thing is getting a lot of grief on the head sculpt, but in person, I think it looks pretty good.
Thanks for this! So the boots and belt are from this release along with the head? Looks like a great update to the DX07.

Am I right in that I'm seeing a full flight suit under the jacket? If so that means a Red 5 has to be in the silo for HT soon. I figured it'd just be pants for the illusion of a full suit.

This sculpt and hair looks good on the DX07. Hot take but I'm surprised the DX07 still is regarded so highly, I think the tailoring and crispness of the soft goods is starting to show the era it came from. Fantastic deal for the time. Hard pressed to say the technical level holds up to today's stuff though.

Prepares for joyless monotone AI review devoid of any tonal shift in frequency and emotion in the service of keeping everything uniform at super OCD levels. :yess:
Why bother. I refuse to give my ad revenue etc to listen to that crap. Jedha and Man of Hot Collectibles have their reviews up and are far superior.

Nah i’m half joking I just enjoy watching content where the figure is in under different lighting conditions so i’ll watch it anyways.

I joke around alot and love stirring trouble lol

Nice review! Do you think the plastic piece on the chinstrap was a factory error on yours or a widespread issue? Nice alert for others to cut or sand it off if it exists.

I'm particularly happy with the material and look of the boots, the grapple gun, and the paint and weathering of the helmet.
I think the issue was the extra piece of plastic was the problem, plus the force of installing the helmet. Just a bad combination

Not sure who that is but in Justin’s review he gets the new hair piece on the Jedi sculpt.

My DX07 had issues with the bangs scraping the eyebrows off which could be a concern when switching hair to ROTJ luke.

I think Man of Hot Collectables was maybe more suggesting you shouldn't rather than it being impossible potentially, and that maybe there was some resistance when putting it on?

Thank you for the new phrase I am going to start using "Banging the eyebrows off it". Excellent.

Here are some photos by DAVE LOTTS from the UK Star Wars Hot Toys and Sideshow Collectibles Facebook group.
Photos posted with permission.

1st photo is the comparison photo. Hot Toys on the left.

2nd and 3td photo is the figure stripped down.

4th photo with the fat suit removed.

Man this makes the Sideshow one look extremely bad, despite it being so high regarded.

The only thing I prefer on the Sideshow one looking at these pics is the chin strap, the chest box and the boots. Just not a big fan of the pleather materials. I love the rubber boots on my SSC Hoth Han, they look fantastic.

I don't know how it'll feel in hand, but in pictures the chest box looks *massive*. Way thicker than it should be imo.

This looks absolutely amazing! I can’t wait, this summer I have Jango Fett, Solo Maul and this figure coming in! And hopefully Bo Katan releases soon as well.

The Sideshow improved after I put him on smaller body, and I think he still holds his ground.

However, seeing the two together in hand will be the telling moment.

I went through Flickr looking for photos of my Sideshow, and could only find this one where he managed to sneak in:
