I'm shocked Hot Toys went back to this. Most reactionary thing they've done, he wasn't even in the last Spider-Man movie and there's still 2 Spider-men to go for that one.

I get the sense all the people who really wanted a Vulture in their collection already got and are happy with the Jazzinc version. Not sure how many are left that are going to want to wait 2 years for a HT one.

That or they didn't wanna spend the money anyway and will get the cheap version. The Hot Toys has gotta be around $500 right? It'll be cheaper than Jazzinc's, especially with shipping factored in, but it'll still be pricey.

All I know is I am glad there is some much needed competition in the 1/6 space these days and hope a lot of these non-Hot Toys brands stay alive. We hit a new low with Hot Toys recently (look at that Dr. Ock headsculpt) and as soon as Queen Studios and a few others start coming in, we get things like updated sculpts on the Pattinson Batman, etc.

Just curious why two certain YouTube reviewers that claim to have inside sources at Hot Toys didn’t make this announcement on their pages? Did their sources just says screw it spend a lot of money on an unlicensed figure so you can claim later on that you wanted to make comparison videos? So much for their sources.

This is 100% just to scare people away from buying third party versions of Vulture.

No shot they announce and release this fully. The movie is 4 years old and they plan on announcing this soon so that it releases in another 2-3 years? :lol

**** out of here Hot Toys
Hey don't discredit this! They spent FOUR WHOLE YEARS on R&D to make this as good as possible.

Obviously, this move is inspired by his appearance in the morbillion-grossing hit film Morbius. He's now tied to a Marvel Legend. This figure will sell morbillions after Hot Toys announces a Morbius to go with him. Then it'll be morbin' time!

Nah I think we'll see this hit the market, genuinely.

They could have said nothing, and lost the potential revenue on this item to the third parties. If they don't act on this announcement, then they'll still lose that revenue to third parties. It's a zero sum game unless they actually put this out, which is why I think this is a valid pre-announcement.

Now what I'm hoping is that we get a wingless standard version as well. I know that seems really wonky, but don't know if I could squeeze in the winged one, or care to. But a unmasked Keaton with the bit of gear to pose against the homemade suit? That's a win.

On closer inspection it looks like there is indeed a groove/slot on top of each feather, to allow it to retract and splay the blades 😲
Good eye but they'll also need to do something at the opposite end of the feathers (around the perimeters framing the turbine fans) to allow for that kind of movement. But yes, that could indicate that they're attempting that feature. IMO they'll need to offer better posing options if they want to set themselves apart. This would be a good start.
