That tip you posted about putting a dab of blue tack behind the faceplates looks like it makes a huge difference. Will definitely be trying that when mine arrives.
I think so. The stock chins just want to nest a bit too far inside the cowl. Using the tack to make the bottom stick out just a bit improves the look and luckily they’re sculpted in a way that you don’t see a gap at the bottom from the side.

I just paid the full amount on my order from sideshow today, hopefully I'll get word that their stock is inbound soon. I Never have owned a batman figure before and I really loved the Nolan trilogy so my hype is real.

Also sorry to ask since this has probably already been asked, but how is the articulation on him. Especially around the thighs, seeing those rubber like pads on the legs has me a little worried about posing him since I wouldn't want them to peel off if you know what I mean

The hips are probably the most limited part of the figure when it comes to articulation. I can barely get a 30 degree bend going on forward and back without it feeling like the suit might rip. Out to the side is a little better but not much.

An empty cowl would have been nice with the backpack. It's baffling that they made such advances with the Bruce Wayne sculpt, but left out $3 in additional plastic needed to recreate the Hong Kong jump scene with his cowl off.
I’ve got mine in a similar pose to this photo. Just pop the faceplate off either cowl. I’m using the sonar cowl so there aren’t any eyeballs present.

I ordered this day one when it went up for pre order from sideshow back in December 2020, even paid it off in full.
When the 1st batch started gettin sent out by sideshow & I had heard nothing I ordered another 2 of them on April 19th.
I just got a charging soon email for the 2 I ordered in April of this year.
Nothing for the one I ordered in 2020.
Kinda sums up sideshows pre order system

Yeah, I didn't pre-order mine until nearly the end of march of this year from them and already have it. Then with the endgame cap I pre-ordered it the day they went up and didn't get mine til like, the 3rd or 4th batch. I would really be interested in learning their fulfillment method.

What baffles me is that their own employees dont know this. They will constantly tell you its in the order of orders received.

I ordered late April 2022 and just got my shipping notification.

Don’t think there is any rhyme or reason to any of it, this applies to every company.

It arrives when it arrives. This is why I never preorder anymore.

You ordered 3 in total? That’s cool, man.

I got my upcoming shipment notice for my most recent sideshow order of another copy. I hope all the day ones are ready too because I placed this order in the last month.

I really do love this figure but I wonder if InArt can make one that doesn’t require mods…

sheesh! is that the 4th dx19 you got?

This figure is so good. I myself am getting a second one which I never really do unless it's for parts or because I really like the figure and want a second one.

So what's your guys take on pers? DO you think they look good or do you prefer painted eyes?
As much as I like the more squinted look of painted eyes, I still prefer the functionality of pers. The BVS Batfleck has swappable painted eyes as an alternative, but I never have the patience to pull out that box and unpack them every time I want to change the direction of his stare. With pers there’s no need to go back to the box.

At 1/6 I think posable eyes works great on masked faces or sculpts like Joker with makeup. I'm still on the fence about how it looks on things like the upcoming Luke from the Mandalorian. I feel like any tolerance issues with the fitment looks worse on a standard human sculpt.

I'd be interested to see it on a 1:4 figure like a scaled up Mando Luke. The QS001 eyes are completely gapless and fit their sockets perfectly IMO. I think it could look really good on a 1/4 sculpt of a standard human portrait.
