in my pics I am using the HT Han Solo body. The jacket sits very well but as I said, weathering pending.

Whats got me worried about the "leather"quality are those wrinkles and gloss on his right arm (the one with the gun)

Man thats some BULL ****. And you aren't the first person that I've heard that started to experience this. Once I heard I sold my two yunsil jackets. For the prices we pay for the custom game pleather shouldn't even be on the table. I'm just very happy to finally have a genuine leather Jacket for my Indy even if the run was a pita.

Indy looks solid though! 👌 check out my weathering video on how to dull that shine.

Not sure that you need a heat gun. I use a hair dryer and that works fine.
 
Darn! Don't know if it was my fault or KGHobby's, but the figure was sent to my work place. Too bad I've been working from home in another city for two years...

Now I need to find the time to go pick it up...

Great video, thanks for sharing. you are brave for using the sandpaper, I am not sure about using that technique in mine since I have my doubts about it being real leather

Thanks, yeah I would probably try and find a reliable source that confirms it's genuine leather. The thickness of it makes me think it is, but Presents Toys being so cheap makes me wonder.

I was wondering the same thing. The inside has that very soft suede like texture and the way the material folds gives me that impression. They even kinda smell like it but I may be tricking myself there. I'd think if they were then that would have been advertised or at least noted on the card with the care instructions for the jacket. Either way they're pretty great!

Not sure what you mean by "heating up the head to get the likeness more accurate" because you can't really change the sculpt by heating it.

If the head is vinyl, you can heat the head with a hair dryer till the vinyl becomes pliable. You can then squish the head to the shape you want it to be and then flash cool the head under cold water to set that shape in place.

Well this stinks. I remember Short Round passing along from Yunsil that these jackets would last for a while. I was on the second run so I may have a little more time with mine. Pretty crappy for the cost.

It probably isn't vinyl. I'm pretty sure its resin.
 
Very unlikely it’s resin. I’m almost certain it’s a pliable material like what Sideshow uses for a lot of their sculpts. I’ve been able to drop those in a cup of near boiling water and squeeze the sculpt narrower before. That’s my plan for Indy at this point.
 
Pretty impressed with this one. just tanned the sculpt up a bit.

I got the new sculpt on my DX05 but I'm using the PT bag, belt and jacket. Bit more futzing to do of course.

The camera dosent really do the sculpt justice, it is very good in person.

I use this simple heat gun for stiff figures. It's not some industrial device, it's just easier to me than a hair dryer since it has a focused end and only take a little bit to heat up. When I say a little, I mean like 8-10 seconds at a time. Used it plenty with zero issues, although I wouldn't blast it straight at a 1/6 headsculpt. Hands/limbs no problem.
 
I used a sanding stick on my jacket, First I softened it with leather cream until it became supple , lightly rubbed areas where you would get wear and tear with a 1000 grit stick. Using Isopropyl lightly sprayed all over scrunching the jacket then mixing Isopropyl with a sand coloured pastel brushed it all over. When dry the jacket looks like it's been in a sandstorm then i rubbed excess off with a soft cloth, leaving it with a dull lived in look.
