The batteries are a pain in the butt for sure. While I currently have the clean mk85, I’m guessing the battery placement is the same on this one. I didn’t even bother with the ones that go into the legs. The panels didn’t want to budge and since I bought it on eBay there was no way I was going to get a replacement if I ended up breaking it. Just didn’t seem worth it but it did damper the experience some
Honestly the only way I got the thigh panels off was to take a tiny screwdriver and insert it under the knee cap region at the bottom and slide it up to give it some leverage so nothing breaks. It popped off for me with just a bit of toggling up and down to loosen it. The problem with this design is it has the two hold pegs near the bottom, so trying to pull it from the side or at the top is just begging for something to snap, because they are in there snug. My apologies for not getting pics tonight. I had allot of running. I'll be sure to get them in tomorrow. The other thing is both sides take three batteries a piece and only turn on ONE small light at the thighs on either side. Was not worth the effort at all.

I remember the first time I dealt with HT battery compartments probably around 12 years ago. I was swearing like crazy and broke multiple plastic covers. Never again.

I finally got this figure in hand yesterday. Not as impressed as I wanted to be with the details. I feel like I will have to touch up most of the battle damage and get a MORE battle damaged head. Does he even have a hand to grip the blue blade weapon thingie? His fully articulated hand cant hold it. I like the thin blue shield, but posing him with it remains unresolved

I did not buy the clean 85, but this one has massively thick arms, like too "superhero" arms. The legs seem to have been ameliorated since the Mark 50 as they look fine; the movement in the feet is probably the most advanced I have seen HT do.

I for one will NOT be displaying this figure in the iconic snap pose, so many other options available

mine was charged last week like a few others & it’s STILL on “preparing to ship”. that’s frustrating when others here are saying they have shipping info on theirs already

Anyone receive their regular edition from Toyswonderland at their $255+shipping sale price yet?
Not yet, but ShowZStore (Primarily a Transformers online retailer for those who don't know) oddly is selling the BD85 and finally have it listed as "incoming" which usually means it's about a week or so out from being actually in-stock; so, hopefully that means ToysWonderland will also be getting some new stock in. Only reason I bring them up is b/c ShowZ is also overseas so I'd imagine if they're finally getting their stock, maybe ToysWonderland will be too.

I ended up calling Sideshow about double boxing my order, and it turns out that mine (and I'm guessing yours) was charged early. According to the rep, there's supposedly a new batch coming in from the docks this week that should go out for shipping by the end of the week. We'll see if that pans out.

Got this yesterday, the maxnut head looks pretty good as well

People really hyped up the music fight scene in this but it was kinda crap, just some more orange sparks flying at people and the music wasn't good.

How did you get a hold of a rep? Everyone I chat with doesn’t know much besides telling me to wait for an email because it should be “any day”. Also, did they say anything about new batches of the DX19?

Yeah, I've talked to 3 different reps and received 3 different answers. I don't think they really have any inside info, honestly. I would take whatever they say with a grain of salt. When it shows up in the warehouse, it will ship. That's all they really know.

This is the reply I got.

I received mine yesterday from Sideshow. Haven't opened it yet but at least it has finally delivered.

I called the customer support number to talk about my order and had surprisingly no wait to have someone on the line. They at least acknowledged I was charged early due to port delays, but I basically got a variation of what marfox received.

I didn't ask about the DX19 since I don't have that on order.
