QS/Inart normalizing these prices. Are we going to get a $700 Batman now?

If i may ask how is that even possible? PM me. 😅
Don't Worry and preorder to OSK, it's the Best.
I'm French and i never had custom charge/Vat with them, and they protect package very well.

I received my Pop toys Braveheart in 7 days!
With an other store who send in EMS, i still waiting reception and my package is still at HK, since 2 weeks...

Y'all are really glossing over this post from the one guy we have on the forums who's got strong insight into the business of 1/6 manufacturing, perhaps willfully, or more than likely hopefully.

That's what the custom run figure graced by their production manager looked like in the end. I'm not saying it doesn't look good, but it's not a HT killer in paint, eyes, or sculpt fidelity. The widow's peak isn't even aligned at midline.

The GTG proto is still very off around the mouth and philtrum. Nose is a little narrow at the bridge. It's remarkably impressive technically, and if it comes within 90% of that in the end, then it will be an outstanding, centerpiece of a collection; still the best GTG by far. Gandalf is one of the few characters I would be willing to replace so soon with a better version, as I just love everything about him. But to wash away the flaws in the prototype's likeness is foolish.

But I'm telling you, if moving right to left in this example is -remotely- representative of the proto to production drop off, boy howdy will people be losing their minds. @R_R_X, are the DAM factory rumors still circulating? I definitely think that DAM can pull off paints and mold fidelity which exceeds the GTW product there, but not meet the GTG proto by a long shot.

Hot take though - say everything works out with InArt; amazing figure and product. Use the hat on your Crown Gandalf and show off the sculpt on this one.
I don't think the DamToys factory rumors are true, because I've heard directly from the OEM factory, that QS/IA bought the factory's handgun off taobao for the Ledger Joker, which isn't diecast and they claimed it was, whatever factory they're using will likely be the same one Viper used in the past, I don't think the sculpt will be on the same level as the prototype, right now there's only one factory I know of that can cast sculpts with almost the same level of the proto and that is the same factory Hot Toys uses and I'm unware if they'll be using this factory for their sculpts so I doubt the final sculpt will be as crisp, the paint apps is another point of uncertainty, it could have acceptable paint apps for sure but it takes a lot of steps to achieve a good layered paint application and also a lot of work to print every mole, blemish and other skin details to make sculpts more realistic, I really doubt they will care about this, their main focus should be putting out a sculpt with great rooted hair, do I think they can achieve it in mass production? I have serious doubts but we'll see, there's a lot of hype and FOMO happening right now and QS/IA are setting a very, very high bar for themselves and making huge promises they need to deliver on but their marketing strategy is working that much is certain, the prototypes are impressive and the engament with the community is getting people comfortable with spending $500 for a toy, we've already seen how collectors can immediatly turn on them without having a product in hand so if this ends up being a standard quality figure with mass produced level of rooted hair there will be some very angry people to deal with and I would imagine they don't want that to happen but then again they have put out some questionable pieces recently.

I’m torn. Gandalf looks great but I’ve already got the Asmus crown version and it still looks great. I prefer their less bushy beard actually. It feels. More accurate, especially the mustache. Not sure there is a $515 reason to slightly upgrade at this point. Would really like to see Joker production pieces before committing any more to see the actual quality they can deliver.

Same here. I am an optimist at this point but hopefully they have some 1/6 figures out before both Legolas and Aragorn go up for preorder.

Does anyone else make figures that use magnets in the feet to attach to the bases? I am curious as to how well this will work. Even if the magnets work well enough to stay on the base the ankles are going to have to be sturdy enough to carry the figure’s weight as well. Not sure how that will hold up over time. I do like the idea of not having to have the stand.

KausticPlastic use magnets in the base

Was looking at toyswonderland's order out of curiosity but looks like they can't stop doing misleading sleazy tactics.

They have a little graph explaining that you pay a deposit, then remaining balance on release and it ships. But if you checkout they want the entire cost up front.

Pre-ordered! I figure that since it’s coming in 2023, it isn’t as much of a sting.
I do still want to see how Asmus’ crown GTW turns out.

Yes, this! There is the dilemma that if I wait to see how good this is, InArt won't make enough to go around (unlike HT)... so FOMO, to-PO-or-not-to-PO...?

At this rate, one could have 3-5 of these InArt pieces on PO before you see what you get with Joker.

My thought process is I'd rather be safe than sorry. This is already expensive for a non custom figure. I don't want to have to pay even more later if this sells out and becomes a hot ticket. See Presents Toys with how crazy people are getting over a mediocre figure. Imagine that with an actual stellar figure?

Worse case it loses a bit of detail in production but the hairing process should still be on point. I can live with that. Either way this will be better than any of my other three GtG in the collection. I can't see it being worse than the Crown imo.
