That’s every figure on Earth isn’t it?
No, most companies have pretty "normal" product pics.

This one has "dramatic lighting" which makes every figure look much better. I'm not saying it is bad figure and only good bc of the lighting, but you can make Asmus Gandalf look really bad or really really awesome depending on lighting you use for photography. Goes for most Head sculpts actually.

I'm just saying, they use great lighting for these product shots.

I'm incredibly conflicted about this release. The prototype blows the Asmus out of the water in pretty much every possible way: realism, proportions, drape of the clothing, the hat, ... Likeness is about the same IMO, where I wouldn't say one is better than the other.
But like many other are saying, the price point is at a level where I really need to make decisions about my collecting habits. And recently having become a father, it has enriched my life is nearly every aspect, but financially is certainly not one of them. :lol
Add to that that I already have the Asmus Crown Gandalf, which already looks very good for a mass produced item. Assuming there will surely be *some* drop in quality from prototype to production for InArt, there are simply too many factors that result in me having to skip this - as amazing as it looks, and as much as I like the character.
Looking at the positive side, this has certainly increased my motivation again to customize my Asmus Gandalf.

Considering the big price tag, I would wait and see how the final product turns out first. You already have a Gandalf so no need to rush in and preorder.
So, is this/was this up for pre-order or not? I am not on FB and couldn’t find it on OSK or giantoy.

It is done.

Honestly... the price for this isn't that bad. In GBP it's about £415 shipped, for a Hot Toys figure (from Sideshow etc.) here you're looking at about only £100 less than that all in after shipping and import fees, we're paying almost the equivalent of $400 for figures over here anyway :dunno.

$515 shipped for this vs $350 shipped for Asmus Crown Gandalf. Given the quality difference at prototype level the price difference seems justified.
Unfortunately I'm out, but congrats to all of you getting it! If InArt can pull this off in production, they will raise the bar for 1:6 mass produced figures.
