Cheers. I personally think the proto IA still has it over the Asmus one, but I'm happy with what I have. It's not like I'll have a comparison photo on the shelf next to mine anyway :)
I'll keep futzing the hair and see how it ends up. BTW, just using a "Low-hold" hair shaping wax.
 
Yeah the Inart one is better even if it is a prototype so it could end up better or a little worse. If the price difference is around double the Asmus Crown Gandalf then it’s a fair comparison. Still appreciate what we got and everyone’s attempts to make it look the best it can be in their collection.

Looks very nice! You inspired me to try messing with mine as well.

I went with warm water first (a lot of it, he was positively dripping) and used his sword to separate out parts, then hit it with my partner's hair spray - seems to have held up quite well a day later. The eyes are still the weakest part of the figure, but I'm much happier now.

Nice! I really like the wavy hair. I might keep futzing. Looks like lots of water is the key.👍👍
 
Beard looks better here too.

My Gandalf seems to be missing most of the head hair. There's hair on the top and sides but not at the back towards the neck whereas the beard is way too bushy and long. It looks really thin!
 
I wonder if they will still sell just the headsculpt after that queen studios reveal. Also I am not sure if it’s still worth it if it’s priced $100

This upgrade is for the people who owns the first version of our GtG, it wasn't about making money in the first place.

So I guess it will still be happening.
