If they’re into WB properties and particularly DC why not something like Batman Returns? I mean a Batman isn’t super interesting, but a Catwoman and Penguin would be cool.

If they’re doing horror instead of Pennywise why not a Freddy Krueger or something to replace Sideshow’s subpar version?
Because Keaton Batman is old and not as popular anymore. It's the sad truth. Same goes for Reeves Superman. They're just not as popular as Snyder **** internationally. I'm hoping they do both down the line but who knows.

As boring as their choices might be, they already said why they're doing popular licenses and characters. They're a new company, they're not gonna put their time and effort into some random less popular IP/character that isn't gonna sell well. That's why they said they want to focus on doing popular licenses first to get bigger as a company before they take chances with smaller side licenses/characters.

I get it, but as a collector what incentive is there really? Pay a higher price for maybe slightly better figures than have already been released. I mean unless a person missed out or is a diehard fan of one of these characters. Just boring choices.

Finally I will own a BvS Batman, Superman and WW after missing out on their HT versions! :yess:
Yep I'd love a BvS Superman too.

HT likeness has never been spot on imo. It has improved over the first MoS iteration, but it's still somewhat generic handsome Superman. Not 100% Cavill.

Anyway with some luck we'll have some news from WB Discovery on the 18th re: Cavill and Superman going forward, and we'll have various editions in a couple of years.

Clearly a lot going by how popular their Joker has been. There have been many 1/6 scale Heath Ledger Jokers already but the InArt version basically broke the 1/6 collecting community section of the internet.

That’s because there are a lot of people who obsess over that character, which I get to an extent because it’s a great performance but also I don’t think is the be all end all.

A Memorable performance (that still hasn’t been topped, despite pheonix’s amazing performance, it’s not truly JOKER), an untimely death, numerous mediocre to decent official 1/6 figures, it’s not hard to see why a proper 1/6 Ledger joker is still sought after. So it’s not so much as obsessing over the character as it is desiring a sick looking figure that hopefully won’t require mods and hundreds of dollars for a pair of socks.

The same goes for QA/IA’s 1st phase. I get why some would feel it’s “boring”...but you gotta consider this: figures like TDK batman, BVS Batman, Superman and wonderwoman...the official figures on the market at this moment are lacking. we’re stuck with what we got. So if you’re a master customizer and your BM, SM and WW look perfect due to your modding skills...well, yeah, the first phase looks “boring” because YOUR collection is perfect. However, for collectors like myself...I still yearn for perfect representations of my fav characters.

People are happy with the DX19, but I’m not. If IA’s version can fulfill my hopes of an accurate, modless 1/6 ver of Baleman, then this 1st phase is exciting for me.

I mean that’s cool, but I’m sure the market of collectors like yourself for those particular properties is pretty limited in the grand scheme.

Ledger Joker is one thing because I acknowledge his exceeding popularity, even if I feel like it’s kinda overrated myself.

There are a lot of crazed Snyder fans, but I’m not sure how prevalent they really are in the sixth scale world.

All iterations of Batman absolutely dominated the IA Facebook polls so they’re just going where the money and demand clearly sit. Batman and Joker will always sell. They’ve been beloved characters for 80 years so that’s not going away any time soon.

LOTR also has a huge fan base including many 1/6 collectors who were never impressed enough by Asmus to buy their figures or who did but will happily pay to upgrade. There still isn’t a remotely passable Aragorn sculpt in existence after over 20 years.

GoT may be in a similar position if enough fans are able to erase the last couple of seasons from their memory to want earlier iterations of characters from when the show was great. Threezero do decent work but are a budget option.

Harry Potter has also never had a quality figure made from it and there’s a crap ton of potential for exciting stuff there.

If I’m not mistaken, IA have distribution rights for mainland China only so that’s their primary target audience and the Chinese simply have different tastes and won’t hold the same regard for what the west seem to be cinematic icons.
Getting anything pre 2000 would be a shock judging from what I’ve heard.

If it is Snyder Mera, I would probably be down.

also interested in Black Adam and Joker.

reality is, prices will be too high and I’ll gone none like the Joker.

After Disney's Marvel and Star Wars, Warner Bros probably has the next more popular IPs and that's exactly where InArt has gone since they probably can't get Disney licenses atm.

Stuff from DC, LOTR and Harry Potter is gonna sell well as other posters have said. They'll hopefully continue to give us the occasional slightly less mainstream figure like Paul Atreides but I doubt they're willing to forego much profit to cater to niche preferences. Cue more JL and TDK figures. If they make a 1/6 Steppenwolf though I'd be all over that.

Paul and Harry are likely test figures to see if making more characters off those licenses, otherwise I expect that they'll just be DC figures company

It’s fine to think TDK joker is overrated. I find myself thinking the same way for many characters or films that are just...ridiculously praised over and over again and I’m over here wondering “did I miss something?”

I love what Snyder brought to the table. Am I a crazed fan that sends death threats to executives, demanding more of the Snyder-verse? No. am I passionate about it and would like to see it continue? Absolutely.

QS/IAs spokesperson Jonn stated that the Snyder verse is popular in China, just like TDK trilogy. So figures from that universe will do well over all...so long as they look amazing.

Keaton Batman being more popular then the Snyder stuff is debatable. Maybe internationally it is.

There certainly seems to have been a “resurgence” or Burton Batman merch lately, with Mezco, Figuarts, Beast Kingdom, Iron Studios, third party companies, and others cranking stuff out. That can’t be for nothing. The existing Hot Toys figures go for stupid amounts of money on the aftermarket. NECA recently reissued all of their 1/4th scale Burton Batman figures. I wouldn’t write Burton Batman off completely. I bet there’s money to be had with a proper Michelle Pfeiffer Catwoman figure - she’s long overdo.

I’d love to see InArt tackle anything and everything Burton Batman - I’ll be there for it. I missed out on Hot Toys’ 1989 Keaton Batman, although I did get Joker for retail. I got the Batman Returns Batman they did later on, but my brain won’t allow me to display Returns Batman with Nicholson Joker, so I need one of these 1/6 companies to remedy that. :lol

Yea I wouldn’t write the burton Batman films off either. I think burton Batman is probably more liked and sought after then an affleck Batman . Nostalgia plus him being pretty much the first movie Batman is important.

I was saying the opposite. Keaton Batman isn't as popular as Snyder, especially overseas. That's why no one is going crazy in trying to do Batman Return figures or Reeves Superman anymore.
I always think of George Reeves Superman whenever people mentioned Reeves Superman, or Keanu Reeves somehow cosplaying as Superman lol :ROFLMAO:

Hmmm idk about that. Snyder has fans but he isn’t loved by everyone. Keaton bats is pretty much loved by everyone. But idk. Again I feel like a Keaton bats will sell more than an affleck one.
