Removed internal peg from PT head , placed a new one and changed to my custom Indy with HT Han Solo body. Easy.

With the three older SSC Indys (ROTLA, KOTCS and TOD) tossed into this pic for good measure, it's incredible that this is as good as it gets in 1/6 for a character as super-iconic has Indiana Jones.

Like they basically nail TDK Joker and POTC Sparrow in 1/6 on the first go round, followed by seemingly dozens of other equally incredible 1/6 updates to those characters - and yet Indy in 1/6 is so doggedly underwhelming, over and over.

This Present Toys version is yet another "fine to kinda decent I guess" 1/6 Indy, triggering another few years of $$$ custom work by collectors who have the skills and/or the cash.

It’s interesting to me that anyone might’ve expected this to be an end all be all Indiana Jones when it’s a third party figure, let alone from a third party company that usually just tries to copy and reproduce custom figures. I guess if they had gotten their hands on a higher quality clothing set to try to reproduce like they’ve done for other figures like Truman, it might’ve come out better. And sure, one could argue that they could’ve copied the HT pants rather than doing their own inaccurate, slim pants; but for the $150-$160 that this originally was, I can’t help but not understand why it seems there was such high standards/expectations for this release to be at the custom level

Because 1:6 collectors have an entitlement to impossible and unrealistic demands/expectations from budget priced figures of such hype in the same vein as accepting, justifying, and rationalizing the high price paid for figures hyped as high quality and design when the final in hand quality and design are mediocre like an Asmus offering.

I should be surprised by much hypocrisy within this thread exhibited by some, but I'm not. It's the standard within many threads throughout Collector Freaks right, wrong, and indifferent.

Sacrilege, how could you ask so much of a figure? A quality release of cinematic legend Indiana Jones, a character with 5 movies spawning across 5 decades?

C'mon man, haven't you seen the new Ironman 56XLKWZ deluxe neon edition from Hot Toys? We don't have the kind of time for such unwanted characters, we need at least a dozen more Ironmans.

And as many Venomized figures as possible.

Hi guys, does anyone have any photos of the present toys outfit (and maybe head) on a JX-01 body, I’m considering getting one and making the switch, if not can anyone else recommend a good body for this figure?(preferably with good articulation) the one I have makes the outfit look huge on the torso and tiny on the arms.

Got my figure yesterday, broke it open last night to see what we were working with. Honestly, I'm so glad I picked this up, it worked really well for piecing together my TOD Indy. I love the head sculpt, I think it looks great.

The body is probably my only major complaint, it's terribly weak in some places and almost needs breakable force in others. Also the shoes are just about bolted in place, getting them off was almost impossible and then I had to take a screwdriver and bore out the holes to get them back on.

The inaccuracies are kinda so so, but I'm more of a big picture kind of person, so I don't mind.

Either way, so happy with this. I'll probably replace the body down the line if someone has a good recommendation.

Did you replace the SSC TOD head with the Present Toys head? I don't have the Present Toys in hand yet, but the SSC TOD (despite somewhat sub-HT paint apps) to me is one of the best Indy likenesses in 1/6 whereas the non-grin Present Toys likeness is decent, but not as close, at least in pics so far.
