Whelp, he finally arrived from SS today. Delayed 6-7 weeks, for reasons unknown.

Courier almost forgot the smaller box on his truck, and showed up a few mins later to deliver it. Oh boy, a free give away! What could that be?

SS sent the stickers unapplied, as well as the correctly haired and painted Henrietta in a separate box. Can't decide if I'll apply the stickers or not.

They also sent the original bald Henrietta. It wasn't just the hair that was missing on her. The paint apps are completely different, and there are more visible seams on the arm. I'll be removing the regular head at some point, and attaching the pee wee version from SS Ash, in a non-permanent way.

Threw everything together very quickly, just to suss out what I was going to use. I'd always planned on giving the base to SS Ash. That vice stand is super wonky btw.

Used the rest to make a Possessed Ash (I'll tuck the shirt in once I figure out how to undo the belt). Ordered a more poseable body, and pointing left hand, from Monkey Depot. Also ordered an axe. Wish I could find a small magnifying glass necklace though.

Here's how they fit in a detolf side by side. Quick & dirty. Haven't futzed, or customized anything yet.

As for the leftovers, I do have plans so that nothing goes to waste ;)

As for all my complaints about the wonky eyes, they're so small that you really don't notice them in person. It's really only in photos that they show up so clearly. All in all, for what I plan to do with these parts, I'm fairly satisfied. Was it overpriced? Hell yes. But I'm too big an ED nerd to have ever passed this up.
Super excited to see you put the pee wee head on Henrietta

Threw this together very quickly. Aside from the bloody forehead, the Asmus head makes a pretty decent Medieval Ash.
Now to figure out how to remove most of the forehead blood, or repaint it somehow.

Where did you get Ash’s mechanical hand? If you don’t mind me asking? Looks amazing btw!!

The shirt, cape, holster, and gauntlet are from the old AoD SS Ash. The head, body, pants, chainsaw, and shotgun are from Asmus Ash. After futzing with him, I'm sadly no longer able to close his pants in the front :(

For Possessed Ash, I gave him a more poseable body, and a different hand, to recreate the shot where he sees sunlight at dawn, causing him to transform back to normal Ash. For this one, I used the Asmus head, shirt, and hand stump. The pants and shoes are from the old SS Aod Ash. The belt is from Mars Toys Heisenberg.

Does anyone know how to close the Asmus pants again once they've been undone? I've tried every which way, but they simply will not close at the front no matter what. Halp!

Final tweaks. Changed out the body for one I picked up from Monkey Depot, and gave him back his original AoD SS pants & boots. I actually think the wardrobe looks pretty good, considering they come from a 20 year old figure. I worked them over with water, hairspray, and a blow-dryer, until the shape looked right on the new body. I also cut out a lot of bulk from the waistband of the old SS pants, replaced the snap closure with velcro, and slapped on a new belt. Necro is from SS ED2 Ash, and chainsaw is from Asmus ED2 Ash. Might build a graveyard diorama base to balance out the Asmus cabin diorama.

So there you have it. For anyone who is curious to know how useful the clothing from that old SS figure would be on a modern 1/6 body, you can see that with a bit of effort the results are pretty decent. The Asmus head definitely looks the part, and when I figure out how to remove the blood, it will look even better.

Going to give the old SS Evil Ash the same kind of makeover, though it'll be a bit tricky as I don't believe the head for that figure was made to be removed from its body. Once that's done, I'll have ED2 Possessed Ash & Hero Ash on one shelf, and AoD Evil Ash & Mediaeval Ash on another. :)
