Hard to believe there are so many waiting on this. Seems like mine arrived from Toys Wonderland ages ago.
You can't say such things :thwak Don't you know that automatically makes you a Toys Wonderland loyalist and shill?! :nono Now I don't know if you're the real Cocoboloboy or a fake! :panic:

:lol:nana:

BBTS has this marked for June arrival. So I'm figuring August at the earliest.

.....And to think, the estimated ship date on Echo is, IIRC, right now. And I think Jesse is "due" this fall. LMAO!!! we will be lucky to get either or both of those before this time next year. IF THEN

They've really dropped the ball on Boba here, though. The fact that people are still waiting is really sad.

I am afraid it's their new model. They release something with a very small initial batch and then slowly leak out the remaining batches. On something really popular like this Fett, it will take forever. I also wonder if they're prioritizing these small batch releases over and over and thus further pushing the next wave of a "released" figure. Very frustrating for those who hear months ago that a figure is available but don't have it in hand. This hobby is starting to get to be more hassle than worth...

Yeah never thought about it that way. Just release a small batch just to say that the figure has been "released", but have a ton left to deliver on the backend in the months to come. Sucks if that's the new normal. Well I do have a nice collection of pre-orders that hopefully one day will be tangible in this lifetime. haha

Unless you pay a premium to secure a first batch in HK, it does indeed become a frustration to collect. Living in the EU and used to later batch orders for a few years now, i can testify this is not a worthy collecting model anymore. Beside that initial batch, all HK sellers restock around same time as Sideshow get their first allotment(s). Some of the ones that were very reliable now tend to get their stock even later.
Ordering HK instead of local EU etailer used to help you secure your figure fix 3 to 6 months in advance. Nowadays, you are lucky if you get it around same time.

I'm still waiting for this, Artillery Trooper and Tank Commander from Hong Kong. They've definitely changed their batch priorities.

I just ordered the Transport Trooper from TBA as it's one I didn't pre-order. Paid for Fedex shipping but still got a pretty good deal and got it two days later. That might be my model going forward: No more pre-ordering and selectively buy from Sideshow or overseas depending on how badly I want a figure day one.

Nah, not for everyone, tho I dunno about SSC. E.g., I've taken my time paying off my PO - I'll be moderating my figure purchases so it gives me something to look forward to, and there are delays anyway (I just got another delay message about the Child accessory pack #1). Plus shipping is all messed up.

This looks like a classic set from an iconic moment in SW - whatever happened since - so it's not like I'd object to getting it even 2-3 years from now. I think my last payment is this month, tho don't even know if SSC has any in stock to send me.

With cheaper airmail option now being unavailable to the EU (and more specifically to France) combined with stricter customs procedures makes it basically more expensive than the local etailers offering loyal customers rebates.

It is indeed frustrating for us that utilize third-party retailers for our figures.
The "first batch " is released, the blogger photos hit, the usual group gets out their video reviews, the small batch sells through and the rest of us wait. And wait. So-called release/ship dates come and go, pushed out to.ever-expanding periods.

I will admit, it's crushing the desire to keep collecting these figures. The sense of community and sharing the hobby is affected with this " new model" of offering, producing and finally shipping these figures. Hard to maintain enthusiasm for the "latest" figure when by the time most may receive it, it's just another figure.

HOT TOYS may have to change the name to COLD TOYS. The more this goes on like this, we may see this hobby cool off...

It's been years now, but it was way more fun on the boards when everyone got their HT at about the same time. A figure dropped in HK and 3-6 weeks later everyone got their notices. Those were the days.

Thank you! That is my point. I'll still enjoy this set whenever it finally shows up and I'll snap my own shots and get it displayed. But as you say, it was much more fun to share the enthusiasm (or just as often, the outrage) when everyone was seeing it show up around the same time. Sad to think those days are likely over.

As someone who almost cancelled this set out of frustration, I tell you to keep on keepin on because when you finally get it, its worth it. I am about to start payments on the Throne set and cannot avoid a feeling of, Here we go again.... But thats iconic too, i cannot not have that final Mando scene on my shelves.

Deluxe here has definitely been an exercise in patience. I have to modify my expectations in the future for sure. It really feels like the whole world is changing, and not for the better.

Definitely harsh times, for sure. Still, Disney seems to be invested in SW for the next few years, and IMO Din D'jarin and Child have carved themselves a place in the world of SW, and Boba was already iconic. So for now I'm unfazed by all the delays.

:lol Well my Grogu accessory pack #1 is as of today, pushed all the way to July. On the other hand, it gives me time to put some funds aside for pricey items - and we all know there are going to be some Obi-Wan releases. I look at it as "catch up" time.

I get all my stuff from KGHobby and they tend to be a few months behind sideshow- so I don’t even want to think about when my Boba dlx or battle damaged mk85 will show up. I haven’t received diddly squat for ages.

I get most of my stuff there too, has been quiet lately but just had Clone Wars Maul ship last Friday which I was expecting after Boba and the Tank commander so I guess some movement is good.

Diddly squat indeed :)
I get a bit from Kghobby as well - the only thing they have sent me recently is the Bat-pod and the courier service have subsequently lost it. Sheesh.

They remind me of that old ad - it won’t happen overnight but it will happen lol.

Still waiting on DX19 and WW from them.

Sorry to hear that. I feel like that's been happening more frequently specifically with collectibles lately. Not necessarily saying there's something sinister going on and there is a lot of volume, backlog, and lack of resources and people happening but... It kind of feels like certain people have gotten good at targeting certain collectibles, leading to unintended "losses".
