Ahh fair enough.

I do have a lovely Prime 1 1/4 City Hunter sitting right in front of me as I type this however. I know a couple of people had issues with it on here, but I really can't fault mine, it's pretty awesome tbh. Pose is always subjective, but I personally prefer it to Infinities. That and the better bio is why I went that route as much as I can appreciate what Infinity did with theirs. Prime 1's Fugative & Cracked tusk were pretty great and their other Big game (Not the JH Big game which was another miss) Seemed to come out pretty well.

Prime 1 are becoming a little scummy with their business practices, that's a huge shame and I'll not defend that, but it's still important to give credit where it's due. And they are capable of making some awesome statues when they really want to. They can also very much overshadow that hard work with politics.
The Prime 1 1/4 City Hunter is a steal at under a grand. I’m shocked both versions are still available and both with 10%-15% off discounts. Unreal. I love mine as well. What a great pose squatting on top of the eagle gargoyle. It’s the reason I’m easily passing up its 1/3 counterpart. I think it’s the most underrated statue of the year.

^^^ Indeed Prime 1 really milked that extra few inches of Predator real estate hard!! I believe @Python that 1/4 scale is a beautiful statue. @FACEBOX never sell that S550 5.0 Coyote powered beauty. One of the last naturally aspirated V8 beasts... As a Predator fan I do hope guys on 1/3 preorders really get something exquisite for their big bucks...

Place I irdered the Jungle Hunter Deluxe Bonus from want GBP625 more for the standard CH.

As much as I love it, and want it, no way is it worth that.
The use of decals at this price point is an absolute joke. Assuming they're going that route as I'm still waiting for an answer from P1...

Yeah, I'm out. To be honest I'm kinda regretting ordering anything from them.
Better be a bloody good statue!

Where did you order your JH from?

Okay, some of this is off topic, sorry to those who aren't interested. But I guess until Prime 1 make this statue a bit more exciting, we should find our own amusement...

@Python Transit is a great van I had the opportunity to drive it numerous times hauling friend's racing car ( Bmw E36 M3 fully stripped and roll cage installed ) and I was really impressed with it. I love that Ford Focus ST MK.2 of yours. Never really fully settled on its successor especially the Mk.3 RS. My oldest brother has the Mk.2 Focus RS in that wild ultimate green and I must say those 5 cylinders Volvo engine sounds divine!! It's price is skyrocketing so I'm guessing the same goes with the ST as well.

Yeah it's really nice, drives like a car tbh and has loads of luxuries. I wanted a sporty custom with the big Ford grille and side steps, but we load a lot of stuff onto the roof so I opted for the connect with a Rhino rack. Maybe next time I'll move up a notch, I don't think the custom is unmanageable height wish, I'm 6'2 anyway. It didn't help that they're so expensive atm!! a year or two ago, I might have got that Custom for the same amount I paid for my connect. At least it should help my tax return... :ROFLMAO:

Regarding the ST, thank you, it's a cracking car. When I bought that one, the RS's weren't all that more expensive. I opted for the ST simply because I prefer them aesthetically. Now that the RS's are fetching 4x as much as t he ST's, I somewhat regret that choice...:ROFLMAO:

Nice car python. I have the transit ms rt, a mk1 focus rs with 24k miles and 377hp, a mk2 rs running 1036hp and a mk3 rs with 450hp. Think as well as statue collecting i have another obsession. 🤣

Thank you, I adore my ST, it makes me smile every time I drive it and always turns heads. I went the Mountune route. You've got quite the collection there, congratulations! I never came around to the MK.3 which is why I kept my MK.2, but I do quite like the 4. It's a shame they priced it so high and stopped offering three door options as they look more aggressive.

When P1 revealed the predators, I was expecting the same quality as the Independence Day bust. That thing is AMAZING! The paint and gloss/wetness is top notch. Sadly was not the case

I have that bust, it's amazing! I think it might actually be the best value collectible in my collection also tbh. I think it was like $600 for a huge Life-size bust made with translucent resin and finished to a super high standard! My only complaint is that the eyes are silver rather than mirrored or chromed at least. It's a shame they cancelled the maquettes, I really wanted that colonist. While I do like my 1/4 City hunter, I agree that I'd love the quality of them in general to be on parr with that ID4 bust.

I genuinely can't understand how it's been available for so long? Even Sideshow's maquette sold out fairly quickly and this thing is infinitely superior in every way (Except maybe pose which is subjective) I like the poses on both. It's one of those little enigmas this hobby throws up occasionally. I don't think Prime 1 helped with their none scale stuff and lack of responses when asked about it. But still...

Ahh mate it's crazy what they want for this. Let's be honest, some of us oldies on here know each other pretty well by now. I've moaned quite a bit about various aspects of this, but I probably still would have relented and ordered one ultimately. But they've put so little effort into this one compared to their incredible Jungle Hunter, and yet they have the nerve to ask for so much more money for it. I can't see myself ordering this unless either the quality goes up, or the price comes down drastically.

. . . I genuinely can't understand how it's [the PRIME1 1:4 City Hunter] been available for so long? It's one of those little enigmas this hobby throws up occasionally. I don't think Prime 1 helped with their none scale stuff and lack of responses when asked about it. But still . . .

I would have ordered it, but I encountered their dodgy practices as regards PayPal, THEN their approach to shipping, THEN their dismissive & arrogant "Customer Service", then people realising about the poor paintwork & decal sealing . . . the list goes on.

It was just too big a risk, and I couldn't bring myself to deal with a company that behaves even worse than Sadshow.

So maybe folks got put off by 1 or more of the issues I had - but also because they got tempted by the announcement of the 1:3 Jungle Hunter. I just hope THAT turns up acceptable to everyone that HAS ordered 😱

Have to be honest - the more I look at it - the more that mandible pose just looks . . . awkward.

I've got NECA figures with headsculpts that look better than that.

I'd be out even at Sadshow prices.

Where do you see the inaccuracies? Looking at a screenshot of the faking dead scene, it seems pretty accurate to me, but I'm no expert.

Just doesn't look "right" to me. Maybe it's because it may have been inspired by the "faking death" look? - but if so, why use THAT look on a "live" pose. There are probably screenshots that reflect the look, but (to me) it doesn't appear "natural" in the general way we've seen the City Hunter represented.

At the end of the day though, if it looks good enough to you to make you want to buy it - then that's great - that is what's is always important.
