New version: Mr. Toys Slave Leia

I ordered this from One sixth outfitters, and they are including a phicen S12D body with the order. I am assuming that was probably what the manufacturer recommended

Lol nobody has this in hand yet. But I am surprised, and a tiny bit concerned that the only pic to surface anywhere is the one Asta posted of the package. This being a knockoff kit I think it's safe to assume that some work will be required to get Leia looking her best but at this point I'm honestly grateful to have anything that can get me off to a good start towards a 1/6 Slave Leia.

It would be great to get inexpensive knockoff clothing sets for characters like Death Star Trooper, Hoth Rebel Trooper, etc. I think they would sell and be relatively easy to make. No idea why there are so many knockoff figures coming out yet almost nothing from Star Wars.

I posted these in another Leia thread, this is Boushh with the S44 body. You can see the size matches up really well with the other Hot Toys Leias. However, will it fill that Mr. Toys costume? It’s a very petite body.

They lost a bit of the likeness in the recasting process and looks like they either molded the HT separate "hair tassles" directly into the cheeks or fully glued them on, producing sort of female sideburns. The tassles were a bit fragile on the HT but it looks a bit odd.

That sculpt....woof. Those sideburns actually look awful.

They should've left the hair strands off.

They bamboozled themselves because of the chosen donor sculpt.






At least the sculpt paint looks darker than feared, so should work with what I have.

There should be two strings on the top of the bra, but it could be re-routed so the single string attaches twice and loops behind her neck. Though it'll no doubt need shortening by tying a knot in the loop at the back.

Set looks very workable, and as expected. Suitable to fit in with the Sideshow Jabba. However, not liking the look of the recommended body, will have to find an alternative.

Yeah, that body is a no go, it’s comic book levels of exaggeration. Okay, going to take the plunge with an S45 suntan body.

The sculpt looks about how I expected but I was hoping for a bit better. It could still be a lot worse. If you want something looking significantly better it will probably require major surgery removing elements from the included sculpt and transfer to a different one.

That’s what I did. Took the Endor Leia, removed the magnetic hair piece, sliced off the bun and ponytail from one of the earlier Slave Leia bootlegs and glued it onto the back of the head. A little putty and touch up paint to fill in the seam, and a much better head sculpt all around.

luckily for me i was able to score a second Endor leia head sculpt a year ago to make this figure.

Damn so disappointing

I bought Endor Leia HS for no apparent reason a while ago, looks now I have 'a' reason.
