It’s the eyes and eyebrows , they are narrowed too much. Seeing the comparison pics he looks fine even with the scowl.

Yeah, looking at those pictures it is the eyes and eyebrows. The mouth expression actually isn’t bad.

Sorry we don't have many progress for you guys laterly,
so just a quick photo I took of the Bagend diorama with the factory sample of Bilbo standing in front of it.

It is a shame we decide not to manufacture this,
it looks really amazing on the corner of the office.

I agree. Bag End looks amazing! Wish it was being made and I could afford it.

It's a shame Bag End isn't getting made. But these pics do make excellent reference for those of us who might want to take a shot at making our own. Could you maybe publish some of the dimensions, Asmus? Not just overall height and width, but maybe the size of bricks and the door, etc.?

I would pay probably any price you asked for this. I wonder what the price range would have been.

Oh dear, that`s just spoilt my day. Really hoped Asmus would make this Bag End diorama. Come on Asmus, have another think! If it looks good in the corner of your office, just imagine how good it will look with Bilbo in the displays of your loyal collectors!

Asmus should just tell us how much it would cost, then let people sign up to purchase who
could/would afford it.
If enough people sign up to make it profitable build it, if not then call it off...
They just might be surprised?!

The reason why that wouldn't work is probably because the too-high price point was dependent on a minimum of "x" amount of orders and Asmus decided that they wouldn't meet that requirement.

Why don't they just make the middle section with the door to save cost? At least it will fit in a detolf haha

it was the original idea, and why we have cut it in 3 sections,
however it doesn't look as powerful if there is just the door part.

I would still get it at that size

Asmus should do like a kickstarter or something similar for the Bag End piece. Super limited and only the people who REALLY want one get one rather than a lot of folks who say "I'll definitely buy that" but never end up ordering for one reason or another leaving Asmus with a huge stockpile of extra pieces. It's my understanding that once you put money in a kickstarter, you can't "cancel" later and get your money back which would help Asmus getting screwed on some orders. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong as I don't want to spread misinformation on how that works

This still has fantastic presence and the door itself is iconic. I would say: run just the door as a limited production with people signing up to confirm the purchase. I am certain that it would sell out.
