For any Australians, Sugo Toys has this up for $449.95 AUD Express Domestic Shipping (or $436.45 if you pay cash).

I just couldn’t wait for Popcultcha to finally get this piece in stock.

I‘ve refused to purchase anything from TW as the shipping has always been atrocious imo.

But just out of curiosity I went to their site. And it appears the 10% code wouldn’t apply for this item for some reason. But in any case shipping came out to $867HKD plus $2,000 HK for the figure comes out to about $490 AUD. But even if the 10% code applied it would’ve cost $457 AUD (if the coupon doesn’t apply to the shipping as I assumed).

I would rather buy from TBA or Kghobby, free or at least more reasonably priced shipping.

Why does Popcultcha always take so long? I have a items from them pre-ordered that have been out for months everywhere. Do they receive last batch stock or something?

They seem to have focused more on Pop Vinyls and Vinyl records lately.
I mean, they're still asking about $650 for this one. Quite sure it's half that on ToysBuyingAgent.

Because they don’t do batch 1. They do 2 or maybe even a later one. It keeps costs down for everyone I’m guessing. If i order from them i only preorder because there is a significant discount and if you have rewards it’s even better. I think Sugo is the only Australian retailer who are doing Batch 1 now but like TW and TBA more expensive.

Plus shipping delays.

Popcultcha's parent company Ikon is a big distributor for collectibles in Australia and New Zealand.

I don't know if that makes Ikon the main distributor for Hot Toys in the region, but if they are then I suppose they're in the same position as Sideshow where they have commitments to their authorized retailers that can take priority over customers.

I know Sugo in the past has brought figures over directly from Hong Kong.

I will say I've never had an issue with Popcultcha and have enjoyed ordering from them over the years. They've been shipping out in-stock items very quickly.

But I sympathize with folks who feel like they've been waiting forever for their pre-orders to arrive.

Yes they ar

They still do. They do batch 1 from HK that gets here reasonably quickly.

Go Figure sometimes appears to get initial stock directly from HK and subsequent from Ikon.

Is it just me or does this figure sometimes look blue but other times it looks more purple?

In pictures like these above this figure looks mostly blue to me (which I prefer) but in many other pictures (including pics I have taken and posted in this thread) the figure looks more purple.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Is it simply due to lighting or is there another reason?

I only had mine out for a second before I put it in storage but I think lighting does make it look a little purple.
