This should release just before Andor S2 when K2SO is re-programmed. So people will have just got this, and HT will release another.

Typical Hot Toys move.

But happy for those who wanted a K2-SO right now. I'll probably pass as I have the OG K2.

On one hand I'm disappointed that they chose this as the BOBF release. On the other hand, I wanted a K2SO droid and this is the cheaper way for me to acquire one.

I missed out on K2 so this isn’t entirely unwelcome. I just find it very funny that HT chose to do this guy, who had about 5 seconds of screen time, in the Mandalorian episode in BoBF, over the obvious figures collectors are asking for.
Oh well. That security droid design is pretty cool.
 
Oh for crying out loud you lazy *bleeps* Hot Toys! So much for Cobb Vanth, Cad Bane & BK.
 
Not quite the droid with light up eyes and authentic looking metallic finish I was looking for. Hopefully that one will be in Kenobi if Bail Organa is in it.

They already have a mold. Easy money. Doing anything else (Gammorreans, Black K, whatever) requires actual work.
 
I don’t normally post negatives, but this has me completely stumped. Yes I understand that they have the mould and it’s an easy release. However, if you’re gonna reuse the mould then do it for Andor. I need a K2SO! Sad fact is that this won’t sell, reducing the likelihood of a much needed K2SO re-issue.

Nobody asked for or wanted this, and unfortunately this doesn’t bode well for Cob, Cad or Santo 😞

So much for Justins claim that HT were going to shorten their production window.

Exactly, and the potential knock on effect is that low sales on this will lead Hot Toys to think no one is interested in BoBF (which isn't a big stretch), and therefore won't release the 3 figures everyone actually wants.

The FB page is littered with comments for Cobb Vanth, Cad Bane and Santo !

Justin is full of crap, just like all the others.

If there was ever a figure they could shorten production window, this would be it. All that weathering painting is all semi-automatic. So it's effectively the same as a trooper re-release.

It’d look cool to have a couple on the shelf together. I’m still very impressed by the engineering on K-2SO.

Definitely would like to see more Droids from Hot Toys. I have Sideshow’s R5-D4 but it’d be great to see a set with R5 and Peli’s other Droids like Treadwell and the BD unit.
 
Battle droid is almost certain. A rollable Droideka is needed.

They don't produce BD for tooling, but produce a Venomized Deadpool which is a more niche figure compared to SW.
