Hot Toys DX Bespin Luke Skywalker

As was mentioned above,nothing went in that space.,it was just for the joining of the top and bottom of the tray.
The metal hooks look like they have come off the belt,basically the lightsabre rings attach to those hooks.
The main issue with this set is the glue attached to the magnets on the holsters.

Still my favourite DX release and figure set on a whole,but definitely due for a reissue or rerelease for the new fans that have come in.

Yeah, very surprised that the Luke Bespin 2.0 joined so many others in the HT graveyard of previewed-but-never-released figs. Seemed like an obvious release but mustard trooper got the priority spot.

Awful price, you can pick that up in the same condition for less than half the price around here. They're taking the mickey. I bought a used one (without the Vader helmet) for USD 305, it's in surprisingly good condition considering the age.

I'm sure a piece of that price is the free shipping, but it is still factory sealed. I'm sure someone will go for it.

Decided to swap bodies. It looks more muscular that it really is - need to fill in some holes but overall I’m happy.

I'm about to put this set up for sale on evilbay. What do you reckon the going price is for the regular version?

That looks great. I’ve been working on a training Luke for years since the first HT Bespin Luke came out. Tried many different bodies and configurations. I’m happy with what I have right now but if HT takes a stab at it I’m not sure I could resist.this was my original version with a Bruce Lee GOD body. Not bad but terrible articulation. The second pic is what I have now. I’d prefer a seamless body but I’m not sure I could get the arms in this position if I used one.

What body did you end up using? Did you have to modify the height at all?

I had always hoped HT would do this justice by adding fully sculpted stationary arms that would interchange for different looks. Similar to the Hasbro 4 inch figure that you can display in a handstand. They have the technology with the Thor Endgame body. Just make the arms swapable so you can have multiple display options. You could even have a change out upper torso for the handstand display. How many of us would buy a Dagoba training Luke done right with multiple arms and a backpack? I suspect a lot.

It is the Hong Kong SDU soldier story body. I made the mistake of trying one of those jiaou teenager bodies first, but they are way too tall (and I also don’t need a big dong accessory pack ).

The height was actually close to perfect but I trimmed the ankle pegs just a little. I trimmed off the neck and the Luke head/neck fit perfectly in there. The skin tones match really well.

My bigger gripe is the DX outfit. I have a set that is unmodified and been in a detolf and is largely fine. But man, this extra one I picked off eBay looked just fine. ANY movement though around the boots and they start to disintegrate. I think the best work around will be to weather/dirty them up to hide that as much as possible.
