Something is off about that face. I think the bone structure isn't quite there, eyes too open, and probably a bunch of other small details are off. I don't see too much Amber there. Infinity Studio's 1:1 is instant Amber recognition.

Could come down to wording. I mean they did say 1/6 figures and didn’t say statues. So they either meant statues and said figures thinking the words were interchangeable? Or they will be making competing poseable figures from WB properties. I mean Kojun was one of Hot Toys’ early and top sculptors for a long while, so he’s no stranger to 1/6 figures. I think DX06 Jack Sparrow was his last sculpts for Hot Toys but I could be wrong.
Yes, but I have a feeling that’s why kojun left hots toys.
I vaguely recall a while back that hot toys themselves was taking about 1/3 scale and talked about working on different materials.
so I’m guessing They decided to make a different entity and have kojun head this property.
or hot toys decided against it, so kojun left to pursue the advancement of the collectible.

im guessing of course.
but I’m almost positive this is gonna be a statue line like their 1/3.
this is gonna like xm studios, or tweeterhead, or even queen studios now that are starting to offer their figures in 2 different scales.
I don’t see kojun burning bridges and now be a competition to hot toys.

im certain this 1/6 JND is not gonna be cheap either. This is still not gonna be for everyone.
just picture that Mera in 1/6 scale with silicone head and real hair and glass eyes.
this is probably gonna be in $1k price range.
this will blow away hot toys in aesthetics, but hot toys will still be king in poseable and affordable line of figures.

As much as i’d like to see then tackle 1/6th, i can only imagine they’ll be very expensive.

True but at the end of the day, we won’t know until they become more clear about what they meant by “1/6 figures” or show the first prototype.

Also, I’m pretty sure bridges are already burned with Hot Toys. As I remember, when he left Hot Toys, he tried to get Yulli to come with him, but she stayed. Soyoung Lee used to work for Hot Toys too. So, I don’t think this is a subdivision of Hot Toys but who really knows and probably doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things.

But yea, they’ll definitely be pricey pieces whatever they are. With 1/3 pieces being around roughly $2500-$3000, I’m guessing 1/4 with be in $1800-$2000 range and then 1/6 in the $1000-$1500 range.

I think the likeness is absolutely phenomenal on this. Much better than the droopy Gadot and Hathaway sculpts which I've never quite understood the love for.
I agree about about their Hathaway, compare it to a movie still and it's pretty off. But their Gal WW is spot on, I own it and am blown away by how accurate it is.

+1
They nailed Gal WW and this Mera looks equally incredible. Hathaway misses the mark for me.

Man as nice as their products look in the grand scheme of things I could care less about these side characters.

Imagine this level of quality but instead of these characters it was Indy, Conan, Rocky, Man with No Name, Rambo, Mclane, Robocop Murphy, T-800, Macready etc.

Conan would be insane!

I would like to see them make Mystique but doubt that would ever happen

Never say never, although they do seem to be only dc for now

Their gal looked a little Angelina Jolie to me but that might just be photos vs real life

Hathaway was defo droopy/mouth part of face too big

I'm really tempted

What I like about these is that they have a small footprint and base so would fit in my cabinet for quarter scales

Can I justify the price though?

Imagine them making expensive figures and running them with doll hair. That would surely mean the hot toys figures will look better.

but I did re-watch the video and the guy did say 1/6 action figures, and 1/4 statues.
so Gipetto might be right.
i do think it’s a step back for JND if the quality is just a little better than hot toys.

i feel as a statue, you’re not limited to outfits restricting poses, or damaging it. And
spending lots of time to engineer the figure for posing. Etc.
I think they should just focus on producing what figures they offer in 1/6 for those who Collect them mainly,
and also a little more affordable than the $2k + for just one figure.

I'm surprised about this 1/6 rumor/news. Has it been substantiated yet?

I can't see how it wouldn't be a step back for them or even advisable given Hot Toys domination in the market. Maybe they're looking to do smaller batches of figures with higher quality at a higher cost than HT? Guess time will tell.

I would think JND would use top of the line quality materials unlike Hot Toys, who intentionally use bad materials so they degrade and can be reissued later. It’s a scheme for HT lol. JND will cost more but you’ll get what you pay for.

Not sure if this video was posted, but it's a good one showing the piece as well as behind the scenes work and interviews. Also indicating that they could be getting into 1/6 as well. Probably around the $1000 range I'd guess. But this 1/3 Mera likeness is stunning !

Highly polished video though as well !!
