I only own one SS figure and that's their original comics Joker from a few years ago, the one with the hat and coat, Killing Joke version. I like it. It's cartoony, but it works for a comic character.

I wanted Beetlejuice, but I just hated that figure. The Dude, the Crow, and Clint Eastwood are tempting, but I need to see final product photos first.

Regardless of SS and their quality of final product they have had some good releases. I'm down with getting this as long as the sculpt remains the same as the prototype. Same with their Clint Eastwood figures whatever happens I'll jump on him.

Hmm don't mind having this also to display with coat off. The HT version looks awful without the coat.

Its sideshow… so lwts remember a few things.

It will be
1. Over priced
2. Look nothing like the proto.
3. Has a floppy body
4. And riddles with QC issues they will ignore.

Plus, it looks nothing like Lee, its more like a cartoon version of Lee, similar to the cartoon versiok of Luke.

Brandon Leigh.
Braxton Lee
take your pick

(I also love the smiling sculpt HT did.)

Yea, I even changed out the body on my HT version to both the Bruce Lee type body and the TTM19 (which was no easy task) and I still wasn't happy with either result.

I may get the SSC one to display without the coat and keep the Hot Toys as is with the coat on.

I guess it's a reflection on their sculpting that Sideshow seem to do best with characters wearing helmets or makeup.

Yeah, I have some of the SSC 1/6 horror line (Freddy, Jason, Meyers, Ghost Face) that are passable.

But one of the biggest disappointments in my collection was SSC's Uncharted Nathan Drake - that was a disaster and looked nothing like the prototype. Maybe I should replace the sculpt with the Tom Holland head from one of the Hot Toys Spiderman figures. :lol

Really? Were they exclusive releases directly to you? Where are the good releases that you are speaking of?

No they weren't I'm talkin about the ones that pass enough to be considered good by some collectors, especially if you put some custom work into them. TOD Indiana jones, Evil Dead 2 Ash, Mythos Kenobi to name the one's that I find to be good. Of course it's really a matter of opinion so that might not be true for some.

Definitely pre-ordering him. I’m digging him. Even if he’s not 100% Brandon he could be a comic version. I love my Hot Toys Crow but the pants and coat could stand to be replaced so hopefully someone parts this guy out.

Yes, we all know you hate SS figures, and you are a Hot Toys fanboy.
SS has had lots of decent releases... all of their recent horror figures, recent Batman, Superman, Flash, Red Skull, Cyclops, Magneto, Wolverine... even the Jack Burton was very underrated.
Again, I'm not saying that Sideshow figures are as good as the better Hot Toys ones, but to suggest that all Sideshow figures are terrible is just flat out wrong.

That recent comic Joker is pretty outstanding, too. I'm not super keen on the grey skin or the magenta suit, but the sculpting is fantastic, the paint is otherwise great, the accessories are damn good (less so in the black and white version because it omits the gun and I think a couple of the hands, too), and the articulation is really quite special (instead of having a traditional abdominal joint, the torso is made up of multiple ball jointed sections allowing for some serpentine Marilyn Manson-type movements).
