Yes. Same here. The PT figures are expensive... and there's no way I'd be able to afford one of their limited runs. But they are still getting the look right. It bothers me that a company like Prime1 who charge so much for their stuff cannot.
That face sculpt looks great.
But the presenter needs to back a bit away from the camera and stop using that weird filter to smooth his face. Looks weird.
The way they made the upper eye socket edges droop makes it look sad.
Giving it the proper upwards curve will make it look angry when it tilts the head down and eyes look up in that familiar scowl.
The PT Studios 1:6 scale endoskeleton posted over in the action figure section is more...
That is a T2:3D endo. Not T2 production. You can tell by the front cover on the skull not having the indent and the chrome finish is different. Most auction houses label T2:3D as T2 to get higher prices.
Really, really sorry for the lack of updates lately. I need a few new things to try start printing again, but money is scarce these days - the Terminator Endoskeleton project drained it all - so it may take some time before I can acquire the parts. Will prepare the models for printing with the...
Thanks.
Created a new eye model based on better, more accurate measurements. Uploaded it to my thingiverse page.
Tried putting the eyes into the scanned skull and thought it looked cool enough to share.
I can't remember which 3D site I found it posted on, but you could buy it as a whole or in parts. If I find it again I'll post it.
EDIT: found it: WICKED MARVEL REBECCA NEWTJORDEN SCULPTURE 2023: TESTED AND READY FOR 3D PRINTING
New scan I did yesterday. It's the best I'm probably ever going to get with this scanner.
I did both a 0.2mm and a 0.1mm scan, but the latter turned into a 2+GB stl file and it won't open in the programs I'm using, because it's so big. When I try to save it as an obj it doubles the size for...
Thanks guys. Have had some new input on possible ways to reduce warping in the first few layers of the prints, so I will try those out once I get to feeling better. Hopefully working on it sometime next week.
Got sick again. Had planned to try doing more tests to see if the prepared models printed well enough... but that sadly didn't go anywhere... I hope I'll better enough soon, so I can get back to it.
