Where I live, mail gets to within an hours drive of me and then is transferred- two states away and rots in a terminal before it is sent back along a convoluted route that makes no sense. This makes all my mail take as much as two weeks longer to get here than it used to.

Maybe you'll get lucky...🤞 I recently had an overdue package with a DHL transfer to the post office. It never showed as USPS having received it from them, and then it just turned up in my mail delivery out of the blue. DHL is one of the worst (and slow as hell)!

have you tried a two part epoxy? It takes a bit of time to set, but once it does it's strong as hell. You'll have to sand off/remove any prior glues used for previous repairs. Plumbers epoxy putty can also be your friend depending on the situation.
