Terminator T-800 1:1 Lifesize Version 2.0 Quality Control issues?

Hey guys, Hoping someone can help me here or put my mind at rest. A few years ago I bought the Sideshow T800 life size endo V2.0. I cleaned up the battle damage but lately I have noticed that the statue seems to lean to the left when looking at it. I'm not sure if its always been that way and...

removing battle damage from t800 life size statue Sideshow V2

removing battle damage from t800 life size statue Sideshow V2

Thanks guys. Not sure if V2 is triple plated like the V1 or not but yes it is definitely chromed underneath. The only think that worked in the end was paint stripper. Tested on a very small part first then took the gamble and cleaned the whole thing. Took a lot of hours but I'm glad I did it...

removing battle damage from t800 life size statue Sideshow V2

Well I'm having the opposite problem with the finish on the V2 statue. Tried three different types of nail polish removers (all non acetone) and can remove hardly any of the weathering paint effects no matter how long and hard I scrub It must be a different paint than the V1 and the combat...

removing battle damage from t800 life size statue Sideshow V2

ok so I tried a very small section with nail polish remover with no acetone and no matter how hard I scrubbed with soft pads I cant seem to get any of the weathering off. I looked at the bottle and it said "mild formula" so Im hoping that's why. hmmmm Still hard to imagine chrome under all this...

removing battle damage from t800 life size statue Sideshow V2

Hi all, I have just bought the sideshow t800 life size endo V2. I have seen previously in this forum people that have used non acetone nail polish remover to clean the battle damage to bring the polished chrome look back. Has anyone attempted this with the V2's? I only ask cause the weathering...
