Judging by Sideshow's earlier human portraits, im not surprised. Their paint apps were never good and is still far behind today's standards. They just can't ever get the skin textures and tone right. It's really flat and uninspiring.

Yeah The Hilltop gang peaked 3 seasons ago and have no idea where to take them anymore. And when they try, it's usually the same thing we've seen before, it's just repetition.

There are plenty of characters they should have killed off a long time ago because they're just stalling right now. No development whatsoever, and they choose to kill the most interesting character this season. Negan, Dwight and Simon saved this season for not being a total trainwreck.

Does this game offer anything worth paying attention to in terms of present-day story? Or does it still look like Ubisoft doesn't know where to take the story anymore which has been the case since Desmond's death? Not bothered with Origins because i haven't seen any progress in the story since AC3.

During the 80's, things like that worked. Kids didn't have access to internet, and having a NES video game console in your home was considered a luxury.
