If the size differnece is too big it probably won't work with the help of a hair dryer alone, true... You could try sanding the WorldBox peg down a little. But be careful: don't sand off too much at once.

Have you tried heating the boots up with a hair dryer to soften them?

For high boots I usually use some thicker twine or wire since pliers can damage the peg. Just take the twine or wire, put it around the thinner part of the peg and twirl it around itself long enough to get a firm grip on the peg then heat the boot up a bit with a hair dryer and once its warm...
