Big Chief Studios - 1/6 Doctor Who Figures

Fascinating development. The Delgado Master head was sold too. It really feels quite disturbing in many ways, because so many people lost so much money on pre-orders (myself included). Is it even legal for them to sell these items? Or is it considered stolen merchandise (from the creditors)?

Donner's Superman - was Jor-El the real villain

An alternate view could be argued that Jor-El had a darker plan for Kal-El. The green crystal and related technology actually held Jor-El's soul. And the plan was for him to take over his grown son's body on Earth. He created technology that "de-powered" Superman thus readying the body for a...

    SUPERMADTOYS 1/6 Bionic Man

The sculpt looks generic to me. The painting will make or break it. The old Kenner sculpt is actually quite good but has a toyline face paint. With a professional repaint it looks great to me. Artist Noel Cruz has painted a few with very nice results.

EXO-6 Star Trek "The Next Generation" Figures

Yes I am trying to convince myself nothing is perfect. Just means my Data is special...different than all the others. I will handle it with my usual quiet dignity and grace.

EXO-6 Star Trek "The Next Generation" Figures

I did try to dry brush it off and nothing. It seems to me to be a tiny flaw in the weave.

EXO-6 Star Trek "The Next Generation" Figures

I received Data today and he looks very good to me. But there is a weird flaw on the gold part of the shirt. It's a faint line that looks like a snag but doesn't seem to be. It's like a faint white line. I cannot even photograph it properly. So I don't think I could reasonably demonstrate a need...

    EXO-6 Star Trek “Picard” Figures

The mouth looks terribly off on mine. It's rather distracting. I can see Patrick Stewart in the eyes, but that's it.

Big Chief Studios - 1/6 Doctor Who Figures

It's really disgusting how they incentivized paying in full on every preorder knowing they were never going to go into production. They could have at least ripped people off for a "non-refundable deposit" only. I paid in full for K-9 over 2 years ago and kept wondering how they couldn't even get...

Big Chief Studios - 1/6 Doctor Who Figures

Wow. I suspected as much, but it's still a shock. One cannot help but think it was intentional fraud and not just poor planning that got out of hand over time.

That looks very good and quite professionally done. My Martha's jacket disintegrated as well. "drew up a pattern" sounds like magic to me. Pattern making is no easy task.

EXO-6 Star Trek "General Discussion" 1/6 Line

I got his Spock and McCoy. They were $250 each I seem to remember.

1/6: Doctor Who 10th WIP - Rory, Clara, Amy Pond, 9th, War Doctor, Bad Wolf FINISHED

A shot I wanted to do with Big Chief's Definitive Fourth Doctor and their K-9. Now not to happen, but customs will do.

EXO-6 Star Trek "The Wrath of Khan" Figures

It is an odd face to me as well. Not as long and narrow as Nimoy had, which was rather weathered from the years of smoking too. I was hoping for something similar the 1/4 Darkside TWOK Spock sculpt which I've always loved. But could not pay the high price for that statue,

    Star Trek: Picard

Although S3 dragged a bit in parts and some of it seemed like filler episodes there was something quite touching to this season overall. I did not watch season 1 or 2 because it didn't appeal to me. But seeing the next Generation cast get an emotional final mission together was very nice...

Big Chief Studios - 1/6 Doctor Who Figures

They conveniently forgot to address their decision to create expensive looking prototypes (Doctor Who, Space 1999, etc.) that clearly never moved past those initial prototypes. Or why they took partial or full payments on figures they knew could never get made in their current "backlog". Of...
