Have this guy in hand, only had a very quick look, but the sculpt is amazing, one of the most life like I've seen.
Very impressed. Will have a proper play at the weekend :)
Thank you so much :)
I appreciate it & all the help & advice you've given & of course for providing me with the original figure itself.
Cheers dude!
Thanks very much, it was seeing your original post and the work you had done that sparked the flame for me.
Thanks for the inspiration.
I can't...
I'm pretty much done, spent a long time finishing it over the weekend. I'd say it's about 90% done, bit of clean Up work and gotta screw it back together then lastly a clear coat, but overall really happy with how it's turned out, I really like the battle damage effect.
These are just a couple...
you've gone deep now, love it, great photos and I totally get what you're saying & your example looks fantastic but I think for this I'm just going to stick with the metal scratch effects, It's a look I'm happy with, but I'll be trying the Masking tape trick before I apply the clear coat to try...
Woah! I never thought to do that, but that does make sense for the overall look.
Yeah I'll be keeping the battle damage I think it really adds to the realism and gives it a real bad a55 look
So the masking tape trick is definitely something for me to consider. Thanks again dude :)

Thanks for that bud! I do already have a can, that I already purchased in preparation, have you had any experience of it ?
Thanks man! I'm enjoying it, it's taking m me longer than id hoped but I like how it's turning out especially for a first time painter
Next time I put up pics it'll be the finished article or thereabouts;)
My work in progress, still loads to do obviously, it's still in pieces for one and some clean up work to do also, but very happy so far with the results
What types of clear coat has everyone used on this?
I have rust oleum clear gloss, haven't tried it yet, because I haven't finished painting it
But was just curious as to what others have used?
I'll personally like the glossy finishes.
thanks, I'm looking forward to it as well. Nice find on the Iron man, you'll have to post some pics when its done, I practised on a mk3 cheapie before I did this. I used Tamiya TS74 clear red spray in the end (4 and a half cans) because the Gaia still hasn't arrived but I'm more than the happy...
