250? That's a rip off. Threezero Rambo is only 200 bucks and has much more stuff than this. Hot Toys is really stretching yet i dont blame them. People paying these prices are the ones to blame.
I couldnt justify the MM tbh. Freddy is great indeed but Myers has too many flaws for that price. $80 figure with single elbow joints is just ridiculous.
Nope. Every company manufacture their figures in Asian countries. Hot Toys/Sideshow/Hasbro/NECA every one of them. So production costs are the same.
That extra $30 i mentioned before is just Sideshow tax.
Price is definitely not right. Its overpriced. There are no headsculpt, no alternative mask, no accessories. It comes with a mask and 2 knives for Christ's sake. In a world where Threezero Rambo (great headsculpt, tons of accessories) priced 200 bucks this shouldnt be more than 180.
And i dont...
There is almost zero chance for more ST figures. Maybe Emperor with a small chance. Why would HT make figures that wont sell? Even Hasbro doesnt bother anymore.
Also these Jet Troopers definetely wont be "next Shoretrooper". Everything aside Rogue One was a great movie unlike ST movies.
No one wants unique bodies for every character. 13-15 male and 7-8 female bodies would be enough. I agree with you though. Using same headsculpts for 3 figure in a row is an another problem.
Those amounts you've mentioned is nothing for a company like Hot Toys. Plus you can hide the elbows and knees easily with cloth. Fatsuit is just killing the movement.
Some Mezco One:12's have great articulation. Do you think Mezco's bodies better than Hot Toys? No they are definetely not. But...
Cant say i agree. They charge at least $240 for a figure. I'm sure they can make 15-20 different body types that cover every human character's proportions. They made an awesome Neo figure and it doesnt have a fatsuit. Thanks to that articulation is also great.
Mandalorian figure is an awesome...
