How did you paint the face plate? I think I would like to that for mine. Also, did you fix your arc reactor with an exterior transparent overlay? (or did you have to do an internal job on it?)
I have an issue with my bust: the head has to be positioned full facing to the left or the eyes don't light up. Did anyone else have issues with the connection to the base and was able to correct it?
It is a simple barrel/coaxial plug. The head has the female side and the male is in the...
Andy, if you do get the AR design finished can you send me the finished file so I can print it. I am thinking about printing it on transparent vinyl. Thoughts?
Actually, they had me send it back - and when SS received it they sent the replacement to me. I thought I was going to have to go M.C. on it, but nope - Sent it back. The replaced bust seems to have a darker red, and oddly enough a lighter gold. So it is hit and miss with the paint jobs...But...
I had my Iron Man bust replaced due to an issue with the left eye (very minor) and the right collar piece not flush with the bust. The new one I got (just yesterday) is in very good shape. :) No issues with the paint, scratches, etc. Looks smokin' hot :) :yess:
Not too bad, but not perfect. It is very had to tell issues unless you are closely inspecting it. I have it sitting on a 36 inch display stand, so you get a good feel on how big iron man is stranding next to it
Not to question how another person wants to display his Iron Man bust, but I think you are placing the ammo pack piece too far back, they should sit lower (forward). Reference the pic on SideShow of the prototype.
Note. There can be some slight paint removal/scrapping by the ammo pack to the...
Good point, the eyes are very white, and so it the AR when the lights are on. Also, putting an overlay will help dull the light a bit. It is very bright and it feels like a spotlight when the room is dimly lit.
Though I dig the arc reactor 'inside view' look, I also like the blue ring (done better than the bust ships with). Here is a shot (very large pic) of what I am saying. However, a really cool thing about Andy's approach is to have several 'overlays'. Some that would look better lit up, and some...
