I'm pretty sure IS has plans to turn their Vincent Price statue into a 1/6 scale figure. They have done full body L&H statue pieces in the past. As noted earlier in the thread, the sculpting artist thought 1/6 scale figures were "on the table" so to speak. IS/KP seemingly have a business model...
I also believe your eye accepts certain elements at that scale. I have a few figures with sculpted hair that have a shine that would not be present on actual hair, but it doesn't "read" as inaccurate due to the scale, and frankly the impressive work on the hair sculpt. To each their own on this...
This with the accompanying 1/6 scale figures would be a dream! Complete with engine-mounted record player and pull string activation! I have also emailed this brilliant suggestion to IS. (y)
Agreed. Artisan is domed with no stress folds on the sides as you've made obvious with these comparison photos. I would never drop that kind of coin on a figure, especially as I doubt HT has the hair process perfected at this point and I actually appreciate the sculpted versions better, and as...
Well, in an email back and forth with Infinite Statue they have told me they have no current plans for a licensed one six scale figure set of Laurel and Hardy, but “in the future, who knows?” Not the best news but you hold out hope.
I’m very happy to have their recently announced bust on...
PotC is currently doing WAY better than Star Wars and they aren't making Pirates movies anymore! (Comparing almost anything to LotR is going to be unfair, except Godfather of course.) The SW legacy gets driven further into the pavement with each new Disney released "content." Sparrow is an...
This is exactly the proper use and view of the character.(y)
I had hopes with the stinger from the last film that Bloom and Knightly would return for at least one final go at their characters (the true heart of the original trilogy) with Davy Jones as the villain once more. Twas not to be...
I had no idea this was going to hit! I know I'll regret not getting this, even though I'm attempting to leave collecting behind. Of course I also just preordered a bust from Infinite Statue that will set be back about $300 as well. Oh geez this is odd timing.
I have an action figure that needs an acrylic, paint job sealed with a gloss coat to make it look wet (e.g. the inside of a snarling, animal mouth with exposed teeth, tongue and gums) and was wondering if anyone would recommend Testors Clear Glosscote Spray? I searched the thread and could not...
Calling these "action" figures is a stretch but here you go, a chance to display even more classic monster stuff in your house.
