    I'm in the process of making the parts of the wings for the mini diorama. Lots of sanding and filling to do... As always, scratchbuilding may take time, but it's the sanding and smoothing that is the most tedious.

    Another view of the frame with the toy N1 beside it. Without the cockpit tub, the pilot's position seemed roomy. But it's actually pretty cramped, even in the TV episodes. The Mando had to actually squeeze himself out of the tiny cockpit.

    I started it out with the bulkheads that would define the general shape, secured by a pair of long bolts that served as the major spine. An expendable figure was used for scale. Once the metal cockpit tub would be in place, the pilot would have more secure seating.
