Yes those windows were also painted on the Filming Model. Never lit. I would not have wanted all lit windows....I'm glad they kept that detail...

I care that it is diecast. That makes it unique from any other 1/350 ever released and it should be more durable which means it will last longer into the future. Diecast toy collecting is a thing. As far as I know diecast toys done use bondo or try to cover seam lines. I wondered about quality...

Well if you look at the pics. There is a cutout on the Starfleet insignia and two small holes. So you would need to get a modified base as well.

Well I took a chance. But I did think at the time Bondo on diecast metal....(I'm assuming they used Zamac) .....how are they gonna account for temperature expansion...wouldn't the bondo crack??? That's what I thought but I was thinking maybe they were gonna use a metal composite type of filler...

It's a diecast model. Not really a way to fix it. It was a promise they should not have made and we all probably should have realized.

That Fanhome build it yourself metal D is a bargain compared to Factory Entertainments ridiculous $17,000 price...lol....

If they are already in production....doubtful. No one knows 100% sure if those pics are of what we are going to get. But it looks very likely.
