I ignored the warnings and shopped with Toys Wonderland. For what it's worth, I was able to secure quite a few sold out figures at good prices before finally experiencing the same issues as everyone else. A brief timeline:
- Ordered two items; one in stock, one pre-order
- Stock item shipped...
Looks like a modern teen from our world got transported to the Star Wars universe. "Witty" banter and all. Any hope that she dies in the first 15 minutes and is replaced with someone interesting?
Animation looks decent. Seemingly poor choice for a villain to focus on though. One of the weakest characters from Ahsoka for me. Would rather have seen the backstory of pretty much any other villain from the show, especially Baylan. Hopefully it’s good. Seemed a little too cameo focused.
That's incredibly optimistic. My pessimistic take is that they're using FOMO to sell their figures and if it continues to work then they'll continue to do it. If I start missing out on figures that I truly want I'll just stop buying in general.
Love it. Very refreshing experience after my last few Hot Toys figures. Not overpriced, hands and head are swappable with relative ease, and the quality is top-notch. I hope to see a lot more from this company.
Yikes. I want to like it but the expression is pretty damn goofy. I respect that they tried something different but I think they whiffed it.
Looks like pickup artist Anakin. Like he's trying his damnedest to be suave.
Probably an overcorrection. Hot Toys invested too heavily in Star Wars and Marvel hype, both of which died down considerably with all of the lukewarm theatrical and TV releases we've seen in recent history. Understandably, they want to produce less as they want their collectibles to be sought...
Absolutely. Played it way back in the day on my first gaming-capable PC. Absolutely loved it. Played it again on PC a few years back and happy now to have it on modern consoles. Already got the platinum trophies for the PS4 and PS5 versions.
Hopefully. After how great the first suit turned out, I want to see a lot more from this company. This is the kind of stuff that I love. Not just something that looks great on the shelf, but figures with amazing engineering that begs to be played with and posed.
How many 1/6 scale figures are...
Mine was the same, even when reloading, based on the device I was using. Place #s ~300, ~1400, ~1900. Just purchased from the first queue. Of course it feels nice when you're one of the lucky ones but I still think this system is hot garbage. Both Hot Toys for keeping edition size low to induce...
