I've just had the same problem with the right arm (there is a small crack in the left arm too and that arm is always down). I was shocked at how the arm is attached, essentially a small screw into plastic which is bound to weaken over time, but also it seems that a lot of Japanese plastic seems...
Re: Hot Toys-The Terminator-MMS 238-T-800-(Battle Damaged Version) Collectible Figure
I would like to see some more tweaking of the likeness, but it's not a deal breaker for me... I've never done this before with a Hot Toys figure, but two ordered :horror
That looks really great! I love mine! Hey, could you point out the Honda CB750 for me... I think it's still available in 1/6 but I'm not sure about it. Is it Tamiya, do you have the model number?
I love the battle damaged one on these pictures. The head looks fantastic and you have him in a really nice stance, shoulders slightly back and a little down on the right, hip pushed slightly to the left, weight looks to be more on the left leg than the right... very natural and life-like...
Thanks, man. All the chrome is pre-chromed... the handle bar is metal... all the rest is black plastic which I painted in black, flat black. and semi-gloss black. You have to paint the edges of the cylinders silver. Lots of tiny nuts and bolts and screws. Was a fun kit to build.
Super Freak, yeah, it's not the classic Fat Boy as used in the film, it's the Fat Boy Lo, there are some differences including a lower saddle where I guess it gets its name. I could have made some changes like painting some of the black parts chrome and leaving off the turn lights... but I...
CyberVillian, this is a new kit from Tamiya... it is not the Fat Boy Classic which is hard to get now and was the one used in the movie, this is the Fat Boy Lo, but it still looks the part.
This was my least favourite of the Hot Toy's Terminators. I got the Tamiya Harley Davidson Fat Boy Lo and had ordered a DX10 head off Ebay, but as that fell through I sat him on as is, and he looks great!
Thanks... no, it's not screen accurate no matter what colour I paint it, but I really liked the look of the standard box paint job so I stuck with that.
