1/6 Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back - 1/6th scale Darth Vader 40th Anniversary

Agreed, I've given up hope in HT giving us movie accurate (scaled and detailed) helmets. And as you said, scaling everything from HT (and SS) to actual 1:6 size and to match the kaiyodo parts is so much work, but it's SO worth the effort. ;)

1/6 Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back - 1/6th scale Darth Vader 40th Anniversary

I still have my ANH set from TMG sitting in a box. I received it right after finishing my ROTJ Vader, which took about half a year. So the motivation to start yet another Vader project has been low. I've also been tweaking my 1:4 Vader over the last year, which is less work to get right, but is...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Gandalf 1:6

I actually misread you post as 976.., thinking you didn't make the cut. Congrats on getting the invoice! I'll continue patiently waiting for mine... :lol

Yes it is, see my previous post quoting the latest message from kit. You're most likely in the next batch (whenever that will be).

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Gandalf 1:6

Update by kit: So we're still in January 2023 orders. I was hoping the next wave would already include 11xxxx orders. Unfortunately it looks like these might continue to trickle out slowly.

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Gandalf 1:6

Kit ships Gandalf (and all his product) in order of when people ordered them. If you look up your order confirmation, it will say an order number. That tells you your position in the queue. On Feb 21st, Kit posted that all orders up until #96152 were invoiced. If your number is lower, you...

1/6 Hot Toys -TMS124- Ahsoka series: Shin Hati

Another thing throwing off the likeness are the eyebrows. I've noticed somewhat of a trend of HT sometimes slapping on those generic straight eyebrows, while the actress has quite distinctive ones. It's like the sculptor didn't even use any reference for them.

1/6 Hot Toys -TMS124- Ahsoka series: Shin Hati

I love this shot, she would look great on the shelf. My problem with all new SW content is the sheer abundance of it. I collect characters I care deeply about in some way. While I enjoy watching most SW shows for a while (not looking at you, BOBF), none of it has a lasting impact. So while this...

    1/6 DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

Yeah it's high time for a new version. Part of the reason I got the motorcycle for him is that I display figures with diorama type pieces on top of the Detolfs. But the figures there will get dusty and are further away from me, so I don't want to put the best or my favorite figures up there...

    1/6 DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

Awesome, thanks a lot! Exactly what I was looking for. He will probably end up on the top of the Detolf so I'm not planning to go all out with this, but it's great to have an overview of what 100% would be. Cutting off the lights, adding the cables, painting the handle bars & red trim and...

    Agonistes' Star Wars customs

I made some more progress this weekend. I got the great advice to try out the plaster on a test subject first, which I glued together a few weeks ago. So I did the first runs of plaster on it, experimenting with different plaster/water ratios and different ways of applying it. I'm aiming for...

    Bobs Customs and bits

Great work! I particularly like how your customs always look very realistic in their silhouette. Do you modify your bodies to get the proportions right, or do you use specific types of bodies (and pose them expertly)?

    1/6 DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

To change up my display a bit, I finally got a Harley Davidson Fatboy for my DX10. It's the telephone version. I've only taken it from the base so far and not made any further modifications (so even the pegs on the wheels are still there). I'm planning to modify the bike in the future to make it...
