Regardless of similarities the face sculpt looks great. Hopefully production comes close to this. I didn't even buy the new Wonder Woman movie PF and the final product still gives me nightmares.

:horror

yup, that PF is the perfect example of why I find it incredibly hard to PO from SSC before in hand pics...

Its funny ...different people have been seeing resemblances to different actresses. Linda Carter is one of the ones mentioned. Will Harbottle even mentioned in this past Wednesday's SideShow Live episode that growing up Linda Carter was Wonder Woman to him. So it's quite possible that she was his inspiration when he sculpted this statue.

Yeah, her resemblance to Lynda isn't a coincidence given how Harbottle feels about her.

So how many are waiting for production pics before ordering? Unfortunately with SS record ie Gadol WW premium format, I am waiting. I would love for this to turn out great and be my first WW 1:4 statue.

Damn, I thought I saw a bit of Linda Carter, almost swore the statue was inspired by her :lol :slap :thud:

I see Lynda Carter in the eyes. :naughty

there is a face? i was looking at that star studded booty

:lol :lol :lol

Joining the year-long wait, although since the likeness isn't based on an actor, there's definitely more leeway in terms of how the face ends up, but more importantly is the QC on the rest of/entire statue given all the problems Sideshow seem to have with various ones.

I just saw this photo from Sideshow's Instagram page. Look at those detailed back muscles! I hope that Sideshow's paint job will do the prototype justice. I switched to collecting HT but I'm seriously considering buying this PF figure.

If a shield or sword is chipped they arent going to want to have a customer return the whole statue. I'm sure it will be removable like every other PF with a mixed media strap that comes to mind.

How do we know the sword and shield are removable for display?

I'm not 100% certain but I believe that it will be. I collect 1/6 scale action figures from Hot Toys and some of their figures have belts that can be unstrapped. Sideshow Live mentioned this statue has a faux leather belt so I think it is reasonable to believe that Sideshow can make it removable too especially with the larger scale. Sideshow Live also mentioned that the lasso is bendable so that is great.

I... wonder :)D)... how long it would take Gadot to look like that? A year of training maybe?

1) There is no key in her back
2) I doubt she's shipped with the sword and shield on her back so you probably attach it after you take her out of the box
3) From pictures it looks like the sword is attached to the inside of the shield. And they're attached to her by the strap.
4) The neckless is probably there because she ships with her head off, which means you probably slide the strap on and then put the head on.

Those are my best guesses to why I think you'll be able to display without the shield/sword.
