I agree with Bakura. Use your rewards points. Use your eBay bucks. Use whatever discounts you can to soften the blow if you need to but if you have or foresee having any interest in owning a nice Maul figure then this is it. I can't think of any other SS SW figure that can go from box to shelf and looks as high end as this does.

I don't think this figure is that good so anybody should be sad for missing it. Sculpt is ok i guess, but still far from Ray. Accessories are equal to none. Painting is average at best, that's classic SSC. Awesome proto = average production.

The one I saw on display loose at a collector store the other day looked pretty damn good to me.

I can see why everyone's been raving on about this figure now.

haven't been happy with SS Star Wars offerings... protos have been so very promising and then production figs are often misses... sculpt repaints and body changes often do the trick... every SS fig within my collection has been modified... until Maul. i am very happily surprised with this one... i haven't changed a thing.

They would've had me at "hello cloak." I don't have any older Maul figures to pull it from.

SSC seems to be heading down this path of very high price coupled with stripped-back figure. TOD Indy was the same deal (and same slightly undersized head too) - no jacket for the high pricepoint just didn't feel right to me.

At least Snowspeeder Luke - while at an even higher pricepoint - comes with a decent array of stuff with nothing obvious "left out" except his harpoon cable gun (which is a pretty strange omission)

Definitely a shame they didn't include that dang cloak but I actually have a SS one but don't use it for normal display. There's absolutely no typical bang for the buck with this figure but there's really nothing to be too critical of other than that.

It's simply a well done totally proportional figure (unusual for SS) that looks completely awesome on display and is a blast to pose and repose. When it comes to 1/6 collecting that's a 9 outa 10 for me.

Harpoon gun would have required the actual effort of making it, most of the other stuff is reuse. Who needs it anyway when he comes FULLY EQUIPPED with a "plan" to take down the mighty imperials?

My WL just converted for the exclusive. Been holding out on this in hopes it would convert. Now to find the robe for a decent price... The medicom robe looks the best to me.

I’ve been jonesing to add a new figure to my collection and after days of pondering decided to go with Maul, my first SW figure outside the OT. Last night I was one click away from ordering the CW Ant Man but pulled back because the suit still doesn’t thrill me as much as the first….and do I really need two Ant Men? Next I was going to jump on the waitlist for War Machine MK III but in the end it’s just another armor; I already have a MK 43, Iron Patriot, Heartbreaker, Silver Centurion, and the HB on PO...I know they’re not the same but still armor. The pics and comments posted on this thread won me over so now I’m looking forward to his arrival and hoping I don’t have any SS QA issues; as noted by others the price is a little much, OK a lot much, but the $70 in rewards points helped take the sting out. Nearly $20 in shipping though…crazy!

Just wanted to show my custom Darth Maul. Not 100% movie accurate, but I like it. Not sure why pics show in different sizes, sorry guys. This aftermarket cloak hangs perfectly, great material!

The price they're asking is still too hard to swallow. It looks great, but to still have to spend to get him to look exactly how I want or just have options...just hoping he doesn't sell out before I can convince myself.

I actually like the figure without the cloak and I'm hoping HT doesn't come out with a Maul release anytime soon...mine arrives on Thursday!
