As others have said, which part are we talking about? The hilt? Or the actual blue blade? I pulled the blue blade out of the hilt when I got it because I didn't like how it looked. Probably not reasonable to send to Europe though.

I did the same.

Yup the blade was far too small looking for me and his open hand just didn't add to the ambiance of the statue.

I just want to pop in and quick introduce myself. I'm Aiacha, I hail from Texas and I've been a Star Wars fan since Episode I. That sounds weird to people, and it's not as if I had never seen the original trilogy, but Ep. I came at a rough time in my life and I latched on. That said, I have the Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan Trooper Order of the Jedi figures and, even though I've packed up my collection of small figs and other assorted goodies, I stumbled on this Mythos figure and fell in love...2 years too late! Will be keeping my eye open here and in the For Sale forum for one that is a little more reasonable than the current eBay offerings.

Nice to meet all of you!

Good luck on the search. The price did drop a lot when Sideshow released the rest of the edition last year but now that they are all dried up again I doubt it will ever be cheap. Hopefully somebody on the boards will sell you one for a decent price someday.

Hi guys,

I am still searching the hilt with blue lightsaber, because mine is broken and you can not repair it.... who can sell me the hilt from Ben Kenobi Mythos with Blue Lightsaber?

Try the wanted to buy section, don't clog up the thread asking the same thing every few days. I still think you best bet is a repair, you are probably not going to find one.

Indeed. Selling a part, even one you aren't using, really kills the resale value so unless you're willing to pony up quite a bit for it I don't think anyone is going to bite.

I would highly suggest using the other hand the statue came with (empty hand), and pick up one of myc's excellent sabers to put on Ben's belt. It's what I did. Much cheaper and easier to get.

Hello,
I am new to the forum (I mostly collect the GG animated SW statues-46 and counting!) but I had been after the Kenobi Mythos for literally years. I have managed to buy one on e-bay but when I opened it, the statue was missing the open hand (without the lightsaber). I have e-mailed the seller as it was not listed as incomplete and he is kind of giving me the run around as he has only offered £25 as (in his words) it's such a "small piece compared to the size of the statue." Obviously, I'm not that thrilled with this response! What I need (If you can help) is some indication of both how much it would be to get a hand rebuilt and shipped to the UK and also how much the missing piece affects the value of the statue-not that I am intending selling it but I would like to know how much of a refund I should ask for. I'm not trying to be mercenary but I object to paying full price for an incomplete piece.
Any help most gratefully accepted,
Andrea

That's unfortunate. If it was me I would return it and be patient. As for the value I would say it is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. Most collectors that are willing to spend Ben Mythos price of 1K+ will want a completed piece.

That's a tough one. I doubt you would ever find somebody who would just sell that piece (but you never know.) Depending on how much you got it for it could sway either way. If you got a good deal on it I'd maybe just keep it and hold out for finding that piece (maybe drop MYC Sculptures a message and see if he can make one for you) but if you paid a lot I might agree with Cody and return it and find a complete one.

Depends what you paid for it and if you had your heart set on using that hand? If you're anything like me, you'll pick a pose and stick with it in which case the missing hand will either be a major, or relatively minor blow to you?

Thanks for the replies! I know of someone who may be able to sculpt me the hand but I would need some good pics of the piece and dimensions, would anyone be able to supply me with these? I'd really like to have the open hand on the statue so that I can hang his lightsaber on his belt.
