Just got the regular battle droid and jango, theyre great. Removing the cups from jangos shoulders increases the range by heaps. What was the suggested fix for his loose waist again, though?

Weird paint flaws: splotchy chest and no black in helmet groove:

Getting my mafex boba tomorrow. Lousy pound now costing me £58 with delivery and parcelforce want £24 more!! This now more expensive than any other figure...including shf Jedi Luke, not quite as my speeder!! It better be as good Fwoosh said it is.....but boba is the prize star wars figure in any collection, so might as well have the best one....so far.

Ooof! Hurts doesn't it! Thing is, even if they were available in the UK, we'd still be paying that anyway as the retailer would have to recoup their overheads.

The paint on that Jango, as well applied as it may be, really does the figure no favours, still, it's not really Figuarts's fault, they just did him as he looked.

The Jango figure is one of the best yet for poseability and generally feeling awesome in hand. I can't wait for Boba!

Jango is great because he's unencumbered. No robes, no Boba cape, allowing for great movement. And to be honest I love jangos deep blue and Silver colour scheme. By the way, about repainting that battle droid into a variant, I've just found out the security and pilot droids don't have the backpack thing...

It might be, and probably is, just me....but jango leaves me a bit cold. Boba is full of character, mystery and authenticity in his looks.....

It definitely isn't just you, most people seem to like bobas design more. I like the worn, kinda ancient look of his outfit, but jango has this nice clean, metallic plated look that just stands out to me. The colour combo also really pops.

It probably also helps that I grew up with the prequels first, then watched the OT

A proper size comparison between the Mafex Boba and Figuarts Jango, if any of you fine collectors were wondering.

Lucky you, the Parcelforce handling fee is now £18.50!! VAT is £11, that's a heck of a chunk to get stung with.

Apparently these tax and handling fees for items from outside of the EU are, as you may have inferred from that 'outside the EU' bit, part of our trading arrangement with European Union. If after Article 50 is signed off on these fees still exist, time to start writing angry letters and opening petitions.

The US has no tax whatsoever as far as I can tell for individual citizens importing goods from abroad, and an Australian friend tells me they have a limit of something like $2000 before imports are taxable. It's high time this nice little protection racket ended.

Too right, they are taking liberties! Still, without Brussels looking over their shoulder they may think that they can then charge whatever they like. I can't see the VAT situation changing though, that could even go up.

Given the current useless shower on both ends of the UK political spectrum, I don't doubt the next few years are going to be a bad time to be a collector of anything unless you have deep pockets.

This fig can hit some nice poses, but those shoulders...

Btw a quick easy fix for the loose waist is to coat the ball in a layer of blu tack, and reattach. Thats also how I made the head sit slightly higher, but it's still not quite high enough (any more blu tack in the helmet and there just isn't enough of the socket left for the ball to plug into)

My Jango arrived today.
Bad luck... chest armor has a siginificant defect:

In another way... once in my hands, I have to say that, IMO, this is the most disappointing SH on this line. There are too much design flaws. Also, the "heavy bounty hunter" shape that actually Jango has, it's not represented in this action figure.

I'm asking to HLJ for returning it and get full refund.

Its so curious to see that, at the same time, MAFEX has released his best figure ever and SH the worst one.

Now, I dream with a MAFEX Jango Fett.

Some photos of my collection.

I'm a bit torn now, the Mafex Fett looks ok next to the FO Stormies, but, he makes Vader look tiny, unless he's the SHF, because that would make sense actually. Mmmm, could you stand Fett next to another Figuarts figure, just for a 2 shot!? Sorry to be a pain, but, much as he's a nice figure, I don't want to get him and have him stand out like a sore thumb.
