I would imagine this unfortunately will exceed the price of the Sentinel piece. Its a huge shame as things like this aren't in most collectors grasp but with the choice of characters being Grade A for DC Comics, its hard to imagine it will come in any cheaper...

The Sentinel piece is MASSIVE. I think it comes in at about 4 feet by 2.5 feet by 3 feet. At the same scale this shouldn't be nearly that big.

That's true, but might be offset slightly with it being slightly less popular characters than that of the Darkseid War piece, which essentially is the main villain in the DCU along with the big 7 of the JL

The more I look at it the more I want it. This is one of those pieces that I've been waiting for and didn't know it until I saw it. I have no idea where I'd put it or how I'll pay for it, but I think I have to have it.

That sounds like the rest of us. :rotfl

They haven't gotten that far with it yet considering they still have to sculpt it.. I'm not expecting to hear a price until sometime next year.

Though you have 7 JL characters here vs 6 Xmen for the Sentinel piece. So I think price should be about the same.

I know this has probably been addressed in a previous page, but I'm too lazy to go back more than a few pages...

Does anybody know, or can confirm, whether or not the 1:6 pieces will be sold independently? From the concept art shown, it looks like each of the characters has alternative displays (i.e. Superman punching through rock vs. Darkeid), or independent bases. Clearly this could be just to show each character on their own for concept purposes, but it certainly begs the question of whether or not they would be able to sell them independently (not sure their license allows this).

Some of the new designs... Marian Manhunter is in... classic designs

XM pieces are over priced, as epic as this is it should only be 2000 bucks max!

As of today, 8x human sized characters in true 1:6 scale and made in resin (not pvc) would cost you at least $300 each. More likely $330-350 each. Which would make about $2500 if they were just 8 human sized guys.
Since it's 7 human sized characters plus a much bigger Apocalypse, if any other company (yes including the oh-so-glorious Bowen) made this dio it would at least come at somewhere closer to 3000$.

By the way, the deposit on this is 1000SGD, which is the same of Hulkbuster, which was 2500SGD total - 1850$ give or take.
If that's so, for 7x human sized characters in (true) 1:6 scale + 1x big fooking Apocalypse in (true) 1:6 scale, it's pretty much a bargain.
Actually, crossing my fingers this is the case, this could be the only DC piece I really need.

I have to pretty much agree. However, replace Apocalypse with Darkseid. Either way, it's shipping on this that will cost an arm and a leg as well. That added to the retail price is what really makes XM merch so hard to acquire for most peeps.

I'm hoping XM will shrink Darkseid just a tad.

If Darkseid is scaled to represent 9 feet tall at most compared to the JL members, then this Dio will look more accurate. It's a small gripe, but a most welcomed one if the change is ever made.

Where are you getting 300. Sorry bub, some of the best 1/6 resin statues are made by Koto and are sold at an msrp price of 219.99 and usually go down. Bowen is not relevant anymore when it comes to price because all Bowen pieces are basically aftermarket priced. So you are looking at 1555 for the seven pieces. Add a oversized darkseid and a base and you still don't come close to what they will be charging for this piece.

The average 1/4 size statue from XM is over 700 dollars, that's usually with tax built in. I doubt the tax is 300+. I know prices are shooting up but average Sideshow piece is pushing around 500. 200 dollars makes a big diff. and that's if you can actually get the XM statue for SRP. Keep believing in the hype and they will keep charging higher prices.
