I loved this movie so much! I even loved the stuff that wasn't in the books - bravo Jackson, bravo!

One thing I forgot to mention...

During the battle, I don't remember who it was but I could have sworn that I saw the original Bolg for a quick second fighting one of our heroes. Did anyone else notice this or was I hallucinating? :lol

I did. However I thought it was a little tacky at the very end of the credits when Elrond showed up to tell Legolas about the "Fellowship Initiative."

Well the original Bolg (aka Azog MK I) is the character that attacks Gandalf in Dol Goldur before being quickly dispatched by Galadriel. Is that what you were think of?

Nope we finally got to see that design. It was pretty cool to finally see it and it still is a badass design.

Ok so I wasn't crazy! :lol

Just got back from seeing it. I'm very sad knowing that this is the last time I'll see a new Middle Earth movie in the theater. I love this world Peter Jackson by way of Tolkien has built here. Probably more so than any other fantasy world I've ever experienced. It's just sad knowing that this was the end.

Beautifully done though. A very fitting end even though I hate to say it.
